New Amex statement credits

A question about these vpay cards.

What's the name on these cards? Is it gift card holder like visa1 cards?

Avis
Spend $200 or more, get $50 back
Save offer to your eligible Card, spend $200 or more in one or more transactions, in-store at participating Avis locations for vehicles returned and paid for by 29/08/2017 to receive one $50 credit. Limited to first 20,000 Cards. Exclusions apply.

FYI for future reference
I did the HN offer today, today is expiry, wasnt too sure if the offer included today or not

got my credit emails within seconds,

also the strange thing is
my main Plat Edge and Supp card was Pin OK
however the explorer card main card was Pin ok, but all the supp cards were Signature only....very strange

Spent $45 in-store at HN yesterday and then $328 online half an hour later with the same card - called HN online team who said credit card is charged as soon as order is placed. Haven't received credit email yet so a little worried. I know T&C's said you could spend in-store or online with one or more transaction but not sure if it includes both online and in-store.

Used bank issued AMEX so can't check online to see if it says redeemed/expired.

Did anyone do this and receive the credit?

Hey You app - spend $3 for a $3 credit. Doesn't say if you have to spend the $3 in one transaction or if you can build up to the $3 in multiple transactions.:p

Log into your Amex account and set up a pin for the sup cards if you don't want to sign.

Same thing happened for me. A supp card which worked fine with a pin everywhere else demanded a signature at HN.

Using applepay I didn't need to pin or sign for GC's at HN on main or Supp's. I went to get some BP GC's and their terminal wouldn't work at all with applepay

HN creidts credied after 3 days,

very happy,

a real pity I didnt have more amex cards!

the fact that I ve been waiting for the supp card signup promo has backfired :(

BPs in my experience don't like any form of amex contactless, incl apple and android pay (I think they're using swift terminals)

I crashed the entire register trying to tap an amex once
Was it for $100?

There was a problem for a few months last year with some types of Pinpads - they would freeze up if a sale was exactly $100 and someone tapped'.
