New Amex statement credits

The Qantas offer did not appear on my Amex Qantas Premium or supps when logging in. Manually saved at Amexconnect.
Interestingly once the offers were saved, they did show up when logging back into my Amex account.

In addition to the Qantas offer which is on all my cards except the Velocity Escape ones, I have 2 other offers;

Red Cross Online - spend $99 for 2k points
Laithwaite - spend $150 for $50 credit.

My Laithwaite offer was only 30 credit.

Yes you are correct. I got it confused with the Qantas offer.

Have now manually added the Qantas offer to my Velocity cards at Amex Connect.

The Red Cross offer on one of my cards is 1500pts for $50. That would be 1.7c/pt if in the top tax bracket...

You can book, but don't have to take them. There has been mention here about how to maximise the reward that I will not go into.

That address isn't working for me. But the one provided with the offer was:

I'm also interested in this term as part of the offer:

'You must be enrolled in the relevant loyalty program and have an active loyalty account to receive the points.'

Is this suggesting that you are signing up to donate on a regular basis or is this just a once off donation?

Edit: According to OzBargain the address supplied by AMEX is incorrect. it should be https://donations.redcross.org.au/ This address is working for me.

UPDATE: Seems AMEX have fixed the link they provided originally.

Now works and note that it specifically makes reference 'AMEX Festive Appeal'. So make sure you use the correct link to get the points!

I think this means the AMEX loyalty program not anything to do with Red Cross.

Its raining Amex MR atm, had the 1500 bonus MR for spending $1100 in the month, now get the Red Cross offer.

Maybe they noticed id rarely been using my card except for small transactions at Woolies near work..due to the fact works been all over the shop and when i havent been at work ive been sleeping..not spending

Has anyone tried to split the payment of a QF redemption booking over multiple Amex?

A $150 saving would be the result for an upcoming booking if this is possible...

Could you buy a gift card for part of the total purchase. Use that gift card plus another credit card to finalise the payment? That would allow you to split payment effectively over two cards.

QF gift vouchers cannot be used for redemption bookings AFAIK...

Yes that works - I have done this before.

Just a note on the Harris Scarfe deal - the HS at Top Ryde in Sydney is happy to split a bulk gift card purchase over multiple Amex cards. I bought the visa gcs and the cherry on the top was they didn't charge the activation fee on any of them.

Here's a new one. My local butcher was on the shop small map and has always taken amex. I even shopped there earlier in the month and received a credit. Went in today to make a purchase to snag one last credit and they no longer take Amex So i put the purchase on my Mastercard, but would love to chase Amex for the credit anyway. How do I go about that given the Contact Form posted up thread wont let you submit if its an Amex issued card?

I've used online chat. Received several 'goodwill' credits from AMEX about a week later and it didn't use up one of the 5 smallshop purchases on that card.
