New Amex statement credits

Ha, ha and then no doubt reported you to the attendant when they went into pay.
I gave the attendant a nod and smile as I left. He would have been aware of it anyway as they have to unlock the pump. Still feels odd though.

Did the same with BP, it seemed quite slow after filling up a preselected $20 and I went in to check. They said it was fine. I switched cards, filled up another $20 on the app and left. Should be able to get one more $20 increment by the end of the promotion.

For anyone using the Travel Essentials offer at SYD T3 Newslink there are 2 shops but only the one near gate 12 offers Opal top ups.

My experience with the BP Me App hasn't been as smooth as others have reported.

I'm yet to actually get it to work. Seems my App ban has been justified all along!

Just went to use the farmers direct offer - only to find they don’t deliver to both my home and work addresses

i can only add a bp card to pay with - can't add amex cards?!
There are multiple different apps to choose from. Not only do you need to get the Apple or Android version you then need to choose the credit card version or the BP card version. I can't wait to delete the app as soon as I get all of my credits.

Yep installed the wrong app...
Are people filling up 20 - pay 10, then repeat ?
Or can you fill up 60 and pay 3 lots of $20?
cheers

Tried using the BP app today - it locked up and then said to just go inside and pay, which not only makes the app useless but also means no $10 credit. Will have to try again, otherwise will ask AMEX to do a manual credit if it fails a second time.

No Velocity points through the app either, so unless they fix that before I've used my couple of credits, I'll be promptly deleting it once the offers have been maximised.

I must have been lucky with the BP app. It all went smoothly (except for me smacking my door onto a pole at the bowser.... luckily I had the car I care less about!).

Pulled up, openned the app for the first time, selected the pump and it was unlocked after about 10 seconds. I put in my $20 and drove off. All seemed to work well. Of course, today was the day fuel prices jumped up, but even at $1.60/L it worked out to be good value

Well I do not know what YOUR terms say, but the terms on the offers I have state:

DETAILS
Save the offer to your eligible Card and spend $20 or more, in one or more transactions, in-app only via BPme app at selected BP locations by 22/12/2017 to receive one $10 credit. Limited to the first 30,000 Cards to save the offer. Exclusions apply.

You can have multiple cards though.

Why would they fix the Velocity linkage - that partnership is ending, with BP moving into the Woolworths Rewards fold some time..

Is it really ending though? I thought it was supposed to be all over by September regardless of the court outcome. No one seems to know anything about it when you ask either.

The app also mentions velocity functionality will be coming at a future date.

The agreement was terminating early next year. The supreme court ruled (2 days ago) that it terminated July 31. Loading site please wait...
