New Amex statement credits

A heads up , just did a new one , hilton & doubletree hotels spend $250 get $50 back.
I'm sure that will get a lot of use from the members.
Thanks...anyone know how to sigh up bank issued Amex Cards? ta...

Through the Amex connect website; managed to activate the offer for my Westpac card.
Thanks...I did it that way but not sure how one creates the direct link where you can go directly to the offer and sign up that way

If you enter Amex-issued card number at 'Sign up' (instead of logging in), the direct links will show up. Wont work with Bank issued cards I believe.

The HICAPS takes away the option for points on the cc, so for small jobs it's worth it, for an expensive job (not hard at the dentist), you would not get any points. EDIT, I should clarify, I mean there's no points for the HICAPS amount. I hope that makes sense.

Interesting, paid a hicap merchant today without using the hicap machine/system i.e. paid 100% of the bill and will claim refund direct from MBP ... within the hour I received the confirmation email from AMEX for the $15 credit

Never ever pay my health bills via private insurance (HICAPS), instead I always aim for the points. Don't care the cost involved (ie: surcharge), as private health is paying most of my cc bill each and every time.

I paid a bill today at an optometrist without making any attempt to claim via HICAPS. The receipt had HICAPS printed on it but for all intents and purposes it was just an AMEX transaction. The Amex credit email arrived within about 30 seconds.

Just noticed a new offer on my card. Trenery - spend $150 or more, in one or more transactions, online and in-store at Trenery before 30/09/15 to receive one $50 statement credit. I have never heard of the store myself but my wife believes that Trenery gift cards can be used at Country Road. Of course offer excludes gift cards but usually Amex credits post regardless.

Cant find the offer on amexconnect yet but can confirm that trenery giftcards triggered the offer ok when it came up earlier in year

Excellent! Thanks.
The missus will love the discount if it works on Country Road. Although to be fair she might like trenery stuff also? All these statement credits are slowly making me poor. ;-p

Trenery is part of Country Road, just slightly different styles.
