New Amex statement credits

Just noticed a new offer on my card. Trenery - spend $150 or more, in one or more transactions, online and in-store at Trenery before 30/09/15 to receive one $50 statement credit. I have never heard of the store myself but my wife believes that Trenery gift cards can be used at Country Road. Of course offer excludes gift cards but usually Amex credits post regardless.

Part of the same group. Some decent quality

Did any of you have probs with the Harris farm website
when u put in your email PayPal took over and the Amex didn't trigger and no credit

I had no issues - all credits posted correctly - but there again I never use Paypal when hoping for an Amex credit in case it comes thorough to Amex as a different store and so the credit doesn't get triggered.

Paypal will not trigger these offers. You are paying paypal and not the merchant

Yes I do realise that but as I was using my PayPal email it seems to default to PayPal automatically. It happened once before. I had to sign out and use a different email.
But I forgot that and this time used the email I used for PayPal.
Next time I will take screen shots to see what the prob is
I am using a Mac which auto fills stuff maybe that is the problem.

Only 2 of the cards in my fleet are eligible for the QF offer, but all of them have the Hilton/DoubleTree offer.

Good times AmEx

I wonder if charges and taxes on a QF award flight would be classed as "purchase of a flight" and satisfy the terms of the offer.
I would suspect this may be so, its an Amex offer rather than a Qantas offer and I don't think Amex actually know what the payment was for. This is incidentally why I think purchases of giftcards have been known to work too, Amex just don't know what it is for, they know there has been a payment request, the date/amount, the merchant and not much more.

I just activated the Qantas offer, but only on one of my cards this time. I don't have any Qantas flights planned, so it's unlikely I'll actually redeem even one, let alone more.

There's also a Staples offer, that I haven't seen mentioned yet; spend $80, get $20.

A quick one on this: whilst normally true, something is different about airfares with Amex. My plat charge will show the PNR of the flight purchased, among other things. No idea how or why, but it does!
