New Amex statement credits

I used 3 cards at both DJ Market St and Myers Sydney city yesterday, and received 6 confirmatory emails. Held off DJ Elizabeth St as no confirmation as yet whether: 1) you actually receive $20 rebate from AMEX and 2) whether the 2 DJ stores are considered different stores, and i didn't want to be stuck with too many DJ Gift cards.

I love being treated like a criminal - ID check at Myer and DJ Elizabeth St. I've bought more expensive things from either stores before and no one ever batted an eye lid and ask for ID's. Anyway Myer on level 5 have restocked the Coles Myer gift cards.

That would come up as instore.
I know because I tried to order something online from DJs for an Amex online only cash back and the stock was low so it said to call. The order was taken over the phone, and ended up being charged by the store who had stock ... Then I had to chase my cash back (successfully).

Has anyone who used the Heinemann duty free offer got their cash back? I registered and spent the money but my offer is still showing up as "saved" (ie unused) more than a month after I used it.

I still haven't received any - 6 days since I purchased. I have never waited this long for a credit when I have received the email confirmation. It is difficult to ring up and complain.

All credits arrived overnight backdated to Sep 2 for gc purchases made on Aug 28 and 29. Happy Days!

I only bought 2.....they can split payments on a gift card eg paid for a $100 card with 2 different Amex cards.

rang myer Sydney and melbourne and bought some lego spread across 7 cards ..got the email for all of em...failed on one of them, cost of lego was 399.95, so it was 50,50,50,50,50,50,50 ,49.95 ...oops

Confirmation email came about a minute later after the purchase. Now waiting to see how long the credit will hit the account.

Wow - thanks guys. I had a look on one floor and couldn't see any, so I asked and was told all were definitely gone from the store as they had checked earlier.

I received the email immediately I purchased on Saturday but haven't received the credit yet 3 days later.

Just booked a $230 hotel with Expedia for basically $87.

Hotel was $177 on Agoda. So I booked it on Expedia for $230 which triggered the spend $200. This save me $40 back instantly with Amex. Then I submitted a price match and Expedia instantly sent a refund for $53 to my card for the price difference. Then as per Expedia's policy I get a $50 coupon as I found a cheaper price.

Did not know about this deal, and just booked Maldives. My hotel is in the supported list of hotels. This is a saving of over $1500, but I booked a non-refundable fare. What to do? Maybe I'll kindly ask hotel for a refund.
