New Amex statement credits

Just got email with new offer of ingogo (as noted previously) as well as Hugo Boss (spend $600 or more, get $100 back). Will pass on these

So I bought a DJ gift card at a suburban DJ store. No recognition email. Has anyone else bought a gift card yet?

I have received an email relating to a purchase in the DJs CBD store.

Couldn't find any Coles Group & Myer gift cards at Myer though...

Bought 6x $50 card at DJ Elizabeth St, 5 emails received but the bank issued one no. According to the T&C I should be able to do another round at Market St but I'd probably play it safe and try with one card first.

Did you get around to trying this? I need to buy something fairly pricey and doubling up on the gift cards would be a big help

WARNING - SYDNEY-CENTRIC POST

I bought 2 * $50 gc on 2 cards at DJ Market St today and received both emails within 60 seconds. I also bought 1 * $50 gc at Myer George St but email took about 10 mins. Will wait until credits post before further purchases.

Amex app shows both DJs puchases as simply 'David Jones' so not sure if Market St and Elizabeth St are separate stores from Amex perspective or not.

My email was for bank issued so I think you'll be okay there.

Was the Hornsby store included in the offer?

Only City stores of all merchants included so the consensus has been suburbans might also work. eg: Myer and DJs. On that basis I figured I'd try the A&C suburban store.
Worried now the DJ's outside CBD will not work either.

FYI everyone (in Sydney), my purchase at DJs on Market St came up as DAVID JONES MARKET ST SYDNEY, so indeed the two locations may count as separate merchants.

Anyone bought at Elizabeth St that can confirm?

I've purchased at the different locations. They do show as different locations on my statement. But I haven't yet received a credit back for either location.

Have a look at the list of merchants and you will see DJs listed as two separate locations.

My came up as Elizabeth St. However, who knows if they're both using the same merchant ID given my CBA Amex just say David Jones Sydney and Amex may be able to determine its location based on the terminal ID (remember Amex/DJ are in bed together so information sharing could be more than with your regular bank, someone on OzB suggested Amex is able to tell when an DJ branded Amex has purchased a gift card). If the campaign is designed to credit based on merchant ID then it's just one DJ location per card. It's all academic till someone tries at both locations to confirm if 2 emails/credits sent/received.

All went well at the two Sydney DJs. 10 X $50 gift cards. Ended up with a $849RRP Samsonite Lite Shock for $309.

Has anyone received the $20 from shopping at DJ Bourke St Mall using a DJ Amex? I didn't get any notifications or credit and the spend was last Friday. And no, I didn't buy giftcards.
