New Amex statement credits

For anyone planning to buy alcohol at FC rather than Coles-Myers GCs then Cashrewards has 15% cashback today for online orders. This would stack with the Amex cashback.
If only Penfolds were not excluded...trying to get my hands on some 2020 407 that does not cost an arm and leg!

FC offer on my Edge and on all supps...not on Explorer

On both of mine, but not on my wife's Expl.

Amex FC offers are good as they can sometimes be triple/quad stacked by adding by a Cashrewars, Flybuys and FC discount offer (the latter two do not always coincide, and so hopefully will within the 14 days of the Amex offer).

Adidas $200 / $40 - no comment

Also on my Biz card “Special” - 10% upto $20. I had no idea what Special was. Gift cards? Might have double dip utility?

The "super shopper" card lets you spend at Woolworths, Aldi, Coles, Myer, DJ, Big W, Target, Amazon - so plenty of opportunity for general everyday spend.

@Dr Ralph seemed to have a tough time with the special.com.au cards, according to some ozbargain threads, so I am a bit wary but will try with one, I think.

Should be fine for a couple of cards. After that you'll encounter problems and you'll get no help from them to sort it out. You'll be doing a charge back from AMEX.

I wont use them again.

Didn't get the Special GC offer on my Explorer but I did partake of the recent special GC offer without issue. I used them to buy GC's via the Shopback GC portal. There's decent offers there currently for JB HiFi and Red Balloon. I think the OZB issue was related to generating multiple unique Special accounts to stack with a new customer offer.

Not exclusively. The problems have already been detailed extensively and are much more systemic than this. The facebook reviews provide a useful summary of the issues: Special

Not so special then!

Funny how some of the “positive” reviews are pretty much the same gushing comment about how easy and fabulous it was to send a gift card…

Yep. And all posted around a similar date. Sends alarm bells.

There were definitely people on Ozbargain that abused the offer and got caught out, but the problems with this business are so much more extensive.

Hmm the First Choice Liquor email didn't arrive immediately after I spent over $100 instore, I suppose it's a matter of waiting.

Same here spent >$100 this afternoon, didnt get an email and a couple of hours later got x2 emails from x2 Amex cards informing me the offer expires soon, including the card I'd used for the spend
