New Amex statement credits

I base my restaurant choices for the AEDMO offer on past experience rather than the unreliable Amex map. My goto place has never been listed but paid out again this year on multiple cards.

I got a email notification for this spend.

The store even had those little ads stuck around their POS register.

Maybe they haven't bothered to take it off?
Yeah sometimes I got e-mails, sometimes I didn't. What was annoying was for places that were definitely participating as per the map, I didn't get e-mails and had to chase up. Yet places like Enmore Theatre and Factory Theatre which weren't on the map counted (which I'm not complaining about!) ...

Then there was the time when I went to Tetsuya's (rip) and got the e-mail ... despite having exhausted my $25 credit already ...

Does anyone know if the $200 Australian/overseas dining credits will be back again next year?

The offer is due to end 31 Dec 2024 with nothing apparently replacing it...

No one will know. Typically these offers will disappear for a while to be replaced with something else after a short gap. I suspect it will go.

The spend (single transaction > $100) was recorded as Pelago Singapore but the $30 cashback came from Encounters Pty Ltd.
My first 2 transactions was recorded as Pelago but the third (still pending) was Encounters so hope it still triggers the cashback

It will end on 31 Dec 2024, and absolutely there will be something replacing it, just like this credit replaced, from memory, the 2021 $200 David Jones credit.

Kind of. It was a general $200 credit in a bunch of places but those came around in covid to offset useless travel credits and an increased annual fee.

Speaking of offers coming through, has anyone had any recent experience with the Aussie dining credit on Amex Platinum? Went to an eligible restaurant last weekend (so 9 days ago now) but no sign of anything happening with the credit as yet (hadn't moved to 'recently redeemed', no email, no money back). I remember that last time I used the overseas credit the offer credit never came through until I sent Amex the restaurant receipt and they processed it manually.
My $200 Aussie dining credit from June came through the very next day. The $200 credit for overseas dining in London in April took 6 days without any prompting. FWIW I didn't get an email for the spend in either case, nor does it show on the app as a redeemed benefit.

Mandarin Oriental Hotels - 600 / 120 up to SIX times
Red Cross - Donate 70 / 20
Vinmofo - 199 / 70

Mine was $90 + $10 (the $10 is a throwaway ticket to get to the $100 threshold).
$30 cashback has posted overnight after reaching the $100 threshold with a Changi Airport Jewel canopy walk 3-in-1 bundle, which turned out to be almost free rather than being a throwaway spend

I need some advice on trying to stack FHR benefits with an AMEX offer.

The Langham in Melbourne is offering stay 3 nights pay for 2 when you book through the AMEX travel Fine Hotels and Resorts. I can only find rates refundable until the day prior to booking, not pay at the hotel (which is what I would need to trigger the Langham's AMEX offer on my platinum charge card.) Any thoughts? Do I just need to look harder on the FHR website to find a fully refundable rate?

What about booking the avail 24 hour prior xl rate, which is also the only one I see, but call the hotel and ask them to do a manual chargeback at that time?

It may not work because amex is a third party booking agent, but i'm interested to hear if they allow it!

I don't think I'll be able to pull off the stacking of the offers then. I need to book via FHR to get the free night. Still a good deal though.
