New iOS and Android Apps - Bug Reports and Suggestions

My "unread" threads are now just taking me to the start of every thread I click on.. I'm really hoping for fixes not enhancements.

Just updated the Android version - will give feedback in 24hrs or so.

Pluses:

Subscribed list exists, but often loads as white screen requiring app restart


Ongoing

White screens
No messages
Not synchronised with web version
Refreshing a thread or list sees the last read item go back to unread even though no new posts

Participated works well on Android.

The double enter and no search functionality still bugbears. Photo posting seems to work well and I like the auto inline.

iOS app is working for me. Refresh of subscribed list requires swiping down and holding, even though the spinning wheel was already turning. I still find the text in my iPhone5 typing field too small.

Yep. That works for me (today) for the subscribed list. Although why you should have to do that is a mystery to me.

I can only post pictures by emailing them to myself which reduces the size dramatically. I used to be able to simply post the original. Much easier.

I posted the originals but they are chewing through my data and there won't be much wi-fi where I'm headed in the outback.

Is there any way to reduce the image resolution when posting a photo in the app?

The only way I can post pics is to email myself low res photos, save them then post from there. But apparently they are showing sideways in browsers but look fine in the app. I really cant be bothered with all this - too hard. Hate it.

Is anyone else having problems with the latest version of the iPhone App?

If I try to select a (multi-page) thread from the Timeline, it always dumps me on a random page somewhere in the middle of the thread rather than at the last post.....

I also use to be able to select the text within a comment and e-mail it to myself from within the app. This no longer works...... Now, all I can do is copy the text and paste it manually into an e-mail.

I upgraded to the latest version of iOS this evening, just in case that was the problem, but no luck......

Depending on where I am in my house, the "unread" thread continually refreshes - ie, I can't scroll without it defaulting to the most recent post. It's quite bizarre. It works normally most of the time, but consistently refreshes if I'm in a room which is probably furtherest from the router.

Timeline still opening at some random page and flickering/redrawing is still there

I suspect Caversham04 was referring to the latest version of the iOS App (4.1.0) - which only became available last night... the rest of the thread, whilst informative, is now somewhat moot with a new release and some of the reported bugs addressed.

For me (now using the latest iOS App), the flickering/refreshing has ceased (which IMO was the most annoying thing), however when opening a subscribed thread, it doesn't land on the latest post.

Though there are still a few bugs, I am founding the new version a significant improvement.

I'm finding that when I open a thread that I've already read in timeline/participated/subscribed, it's taking me to the last post I had read (rather than the newest post). Though in "browse" it seems to be the newest post.

One minor bug I recently found is that if I "like" something from the App, it's not sticking all of the time.

I missed the mods announcement it had been approved by the store...but maybe there wasnt one.

Still being taken to mid way through a thread. There are apparently 450+ unread posts but I can only get to the first 20 or so. Pic loading not fixed for anything other than very small jpg so cant post photos directly from iphone. Thanks for getting participated back. Have no idea if I am getting PM as I had to turn off email for os.
