Gee the 'flickering' caused by the app seemingly always auto refreshing is infuriating, makes it nearly impossible to use. Also incredibly annoying when it won't instantly go to the last read post.

So the flickering is what you get when browsing a list of threads but not when reading an individual thread? Yep, get that.

Each time I launch the app it crashes immediately, but tap again and it opens fine.

I keep landing on the first page. Just went into subscribed and started a post. Hit the arrow but and said I wasnt logged in. Interesting given I was using my subscribed threads. And in the Off Topic I always land back in February land.

My Subscribed entries have returned (magically or temporarily) but there doesn't seem to be a way to unsubscribe.

Is there now an issue with loading pictures? Cant load one in my current trip report.

I get orange message file upload error. Bit of a problem really.

I had success with uploading a pic for the first time today, on the Android version.

Completely unable to load up photos to my live TR. just spins and spins. Facebook loads quickly so not my internet but the app. Tried using browser version but it is cutting into precious holiday time. Sorry - hate this app and am extremely frustrated right now.

I have to agree - the new version of this app is rubbish.
It quite quite often just flickers and returns to the start of the list - at least daily.
It is so annoying that every time it happens I just give up and go elsewhere.
No other apps on my iPad 2 running IOS8 do this, nor did the last version of the AFF app.

Just discussed this issue with MrP. As a paid member of AFF it is extremely annoying.

It's been suggested by a number of members, and supported by pretty much all, that the app gets rolled back to the previous 'working' version.

Surely this is a very simple immediate solution until the new version has been properly tested.

Can this be done by admin?

Seems to working again thank goodness. Was thinking of having to email photos to pick them up on a tablet and post from there. That only works through wifi else it chews up 3G data.

I've stopped using AFF on mobile devices now .. so I only log in every so often on my PC. The apps just aren't worth using (sorry).

Agree - not using the app anymore. And for me that means a lot less time on AFF.

I rolled back the app on my iPhone from my backup on my computer but I think this will only work if you have not synced your phone since updating the app. The process was

Delete AFF app from phone (hold down on app until it wobbles)

Restart phone (not sure if required but can't hurt)

Connect phone to iTunes

Sync phone

Select Apps menu and then select AFF App to add to phone (or words to that effect)

Re sync phone

All this hassle with the app on Apple devices rather calls into question the much-vaunted Apple approval process, does it not .
