New Qantas route - Perth to Paris from July 2024

I’d assume and hope they would announce Air France as their lounge partner at CDG. QF already have a codeshare partnership and good relationship with them.
They also do with AA (which is closed in CDG) and Emirates.

Executive Traveller (published today) are saying it is still under wraps.

"Qantas has yet to advise which lounge it will use at Paris Charles de Gaulle."

I guess it depends which terminal they are flying out of also. There are already a few OW airlines that have their own lounges at CDG and EK also
I’m sure QR will be accomodating 🤣

QF will be using T2A it seems so either CX, AA, EK or a contract lounge.

QF lands during the peak of the AF morning arrival bank, I wouldn’t be surprised if they weren’t able to secure gate space in T2E which AF already complains it struggles with for its own flights.

Both CX/AA are still closed at CDG

Hopefully QF don’t get that ordinary lounge that BA uses.
That would be geographically the most logical until something better reopens or there’s something else available?

What’s with that? The Olympics are about to happen and CDG is under capacity? Surely not?

According to the OW website, CX is flying from T1 at the moment? Handy if flying J and the QR lounge is open - that’s a nice lounge!

Hopefully by my return date in early November the lounge issue in CDG will have been sorted. CX lounges are normally great, but the QR one looks nice.

I was in the AF lounge in 2E a few months ago and not impressed. Very average lounge so hopefully it’s not that one

Which lounge is this?

Air France has 3 « international » lounges in CDG, T2E-K, T2E-L and T2E-M one for each satellite of the terminal (CDG naming conventions are beyond me).

K currently has the worst lounge down in the basement of the terminal but this is currently changing as AF is taking over the upper 2 floors to create a huge 3 story flagship lounge that was due to open for the Olympics but will probably be delayed until next year I reckon.

L was renovated right before covid and sits on top of the satellite. M is a bit older as it was built with the satellite but is still relatively new.

2E would be a bit of schlep to the QF departure gate? That’s assuming 2A actually reopens anytime soon but by that time, you’d expect AA, CX and BA to back at 2A and the AA/CX lounges reopened?
