Nice wines I have drunk recently - Red or White

I hate to be a peasant, but just grabbed a 6 bottle carton of cleanskin "soft red" from Dan Murphy's upon a friend's recommendation. For 3.50 a bottle it is fantastic "house wine" :)

Caught up with some very old friends for NYE in YVR. We had a wonderful home cooked meal and a selection of BC wines.

All four bottles were good, but this Pinot was the pick. Made by an old Italian winemaker who has been in BC for some time. The guy has the winery up for sale.

I can’t afford to buy his vineyard, but I’d happily buy some of his wine.

Fairview Estate. Nice wines and very knowledgeable wine maker, John. Worth the visit. Pinot is lovely.

Swiss family made wines. Interesting styles, seemed more subtle and softer than others in the area. SV sur lie is interesting with subtle mellow butter/yeast tones.
