I really loved the silver oak, I purchased some on Cove’s advice a few years ago when holidaying and this was my first - Full body, long finish, vanilla oak, big bold Cab.

The Wendouree were solid structured wines and both drank superbly for their relatively young age. Appart from the aged funky Wendouree CS that I (we) tried at Wozza’s party, they were my first, so I have nothing to compare- I guess that’s why I decided to try some - I’ve been buying them for 3 vintages at a reasonable expense and space in my cabinets. I plan to open a ‘13 Shiraz Malbec in the next few weeks then hopefully my Wendouree itch will be scratched for a year or three....

Decided it was time to take this out of wine fridge to accompany lamb roast. Cork a concern but wine perfect, in fact delicious.

Those nice people at Penfolds sent me a case of these for being a good customer in ‘17. Long may it continue.

And, it’s quite a pleasant Chardonnay.

Tonight is an ‘08 Giaconda Shiraz - my last was about 18 months ago and nice, but this is close to a wow wine - bottle variation I guess.

I have had one ‘15 Serrat PN and didn’t know what to think of it - but I was still thinking about it a month later so figured it must be worth picking up half a case - I should try another shortly

I really liked the 15 Serrat Pinot, sad I only have one left. Looking forward to trying the 16 at some point.

1991 Wynns Centenary Shiraz Cabernet.
Wow. Just wow. This wine keeps on giving. Don't let anyone tell you that it is over the hill. Such a fine example of how good an Australian wine can be.
