Nice wines I have drunk recently - Red or White

Some of my Christmas holiday wines in no particular order - there was also a Black Shiraz I mustn't have snapped, plus a number of quaffers :)

Quite a nice lineup there, @Steady ! Keen to hear your thoughts on the Silver Oak and the Wendouree, if they're not too distant in memory.

I really loved the silver oak, I purchased some on Cove’s advice a few years ago when holidaying and this was my first - Full body, long finish, vanilla oak, big bold Cab.

The Wendouree were solid structured wines and both drank superbly for their relatively young age. Appart from the aged funky Wendouree CS that I (we) tried at Wozza’s party, they were my first, so I have nothing to compare- I guess that’s why I decided to try some - I’ve been buying them for 3 vintages at a reasonable expense and space in my cabinets. I plan to open a ‘13 Shiraz Malbec in the next few weeks then hopefully my Wendouree itch will be scratched for a year or three....

And, it’s quite a pleasant Chardonnay.

sigh .. I am partaking of my free gratis aperitif from the cellar door.. before facing up to deciding friday night's red libation.

Very nice set steady..

double sigh.. do you really have to post pics of all this nice plonk……:(..
Tonights libation is my last Serrat.. should have bought more….

Sorry steady… it was just a 15 pinot.. only managed a glass before crashing…...
Hated the first one but changed my mind.
I have had one ‘15 Serrat PN and didn’t know what to think of it - but I was still thinking about it a month later so figured it must be worth picking up half a case - I should try another shortly

I really liked the 15 Serrat Pinot, sad I only have one left. Looking forward to trying the 16 at some point.
