bought a 6 pack of this from cellarone, the first glass taste like a normal dry red , bold , dark chocolate, second glass are more enjoyable, sweetness comes along , this is only the second sparkling red i had so i'm not sure how to judge this, the sparkling effect does pull me off a little. i guess this need time like champagne?
When did you buy this, my st Hallet black ss looks totally different.

A couple of years ago myself and buddy did a wine tour of Mendoza (Maipu) and picked this one up for about $6 at the time, really nice blend of Malbec (50%) Cab Sauv (30%) and Merlot (%30)
Great memories Tempus Alba Pleno 2009

I regard Peter Lehmann as one of Australia's best winemakers. I fell in love with his Mamre Brook when he was with Saltram in the 1970's. It's a pity he is not still with us.

I am pleased to see the current winemaker has carried on the tradition in making this wine one of the best around. The 2009 will live on for many years yet but is superbly smooth and silky at the moment. A really enjoyable Barossa wine
