Three big 2010 SA Shiraz of similar caliber.

All great reds, different from each other and drinking very well right now. WOTN was Octavius, both my dad and I agreed it stood above being more rounded and faultless.

If you have a few can open one now then another in few years and so on… Easy to do when you pay $65 instead of $165

Last bottle. Not bad for a cheapie. Tannins fully resolved but the acid is still there. Bit of alcohol heat. Still some dark fruit, cloves and other spices along with some leather. Decent length. Drink up!

In hindsight I do think the picture is a little deceptive, however it is certainly big. You could potentially empty a whole bottle into it if you really wanted to. It's a Riedel sommelier Bordeaux glass.

My GP once asked how many glasses I drank a night, and I answered just one. He then asked the size of the glass and I answered 750ml.

FWIW. It never really opened up. Very dry and tannic but drinkable. Think I’ll leave the rest for a few years.
