Nice wines I have drunk recently - Red or White

The theme is random selection of 2017 Aussie reds from my wine fridge.

Paringa Estate Pinot Noir - Drinks well but I felt it needs at least 5 more years to shine.

Tapanappa Definitus Pinot Noir - The most disappointing on this lineup. Cork broke and the PN felt more like past its prime 2007 than a young 2017. Shame that Brian didn’t invest in proper corks or just move to screw cap.

Mayer Nebbiolo - Brilliant Neb from an excellent vintage. Nothing like the Italian style but anyone who likes Aussie Neb will love this one.

Ruggabellus Efferus - Interesting Mataro dominated blend. Was a bit too earthy on day 1 but opened up nicely the next day.

Woodlands Margaret - Cabernet Sauvignon dominated blend, smooth and pleasant to drink though lacks complexity.

Moss Wood - hard to fault this fantastic CS and it wasn’t even a particularly strong vintage for MW. One of my favourite Aussie Cab Sauvs.

My Woodlands Margarets from 08/09 are drinking beautifully now. The 2017 probably needs another 5 yrs +
