Nice wines I have drunk recently - Red or White

Was planning a night off on soda water to prepare for the visit to the Willamette Valley next month but sedimental and the discussions today have been slowly working their magic so I searched the cellar and found my 2nd last bottle of the Block 2. Delicious it is too, if a little soft.

Damm you sedimental!:p:cool::evil:

Mmmmm......salivating from here!!!:mrgreen:

Wouldn't go that far - and wine I depicted was not quite as good as I hoped - lacked complexity and stopped a little short on the back pallet.

Indeed I think this wine may have been mislabelled - it said Western Australia - but I suspect it was indeed a New Zealand wine ........................ it tasted a lot like sheep dip!

Back pallet or pallet out the back?:(

I always buy in bulk - you saw how I drink at Toppys!

Pallet / Palate - jeez I love / hate autophil!

Probably the 'autocruise' you have to be more concerned about. :)

One of my 'habits' is to have 'now' mistyped and then auto-corrected to 'not' and I don't notice. Such as "This wine is not drinking well."

Sounds good. I'm tied up the night of Wed 29th.

Believe it or not, after last week's tasting, I have been welcomed into Daver6's wine tasting group :cool::D (see, QF WP, I don't always disgrace myself :shock::p:mrgreen:) and we have a tasting that night. Theme is: reds from a road less travelled. Promises to be fun and interesting.

Otherwise I'm free Mon-Thur nights.

You were welcomed because you did disgrace yourself and fit right in ;)

Chardonnay Friday so another one for Sedimental to complete the double from last night. We'll be getting to trifectas and Parimutuel drinking systems soon!

Drinking nicely if a little young yet - needs another year..

We've just polished off a 2012 Leconfield cab sav. Very enjoyable wine that improved over the course of the evening.
