Nice wines I have drunk recently - Red or White

I've been a long-time subscriber to Naked Wines, and there is a big range of styles and some very decent wines for a good price point, as you're not dealing with BWS/etc/etc markups. Although, do check the ratings on the wines included in that mixed dozen. You maybe be better off ordering different wines from them and applying that voucher.
When I looked the delivery to my address was a killer

Just devine. Soft, smooth, elegant.
I have another '21 and IMO it's not going to improve so it will be gone soon too.
Probably a perfect red for the hot SA summer to come.

Normally I usually order a couple of the Frugal Farmer but this vintage I only went with the Rifle Range and Basket Press- which sadly neither will be ready for consumption this summer. I might have to go and dig out some older bottles of them, along with some Rod and Spur which I have always enjoyed after about 6-7 years of cellaring.

Perfect wine for me (being in a small place on the Sunshine Coast) was tonite a Schild Barossa GSM. Purchased two bottles at the local independent, noticed different caps, and saw they were a 2019 and 2021. Obviously, had the 2019 first. Nice drop. The 2021 is truly solid, but unremarkable.

Tell us more about the PH essential? I've not heard of it before.
I actually don’t recall where I got it. Might have been Dans. It’s a bit of a step up in price from the regular PH but not by much. It’s quite a bit drier than the regular PH to my taste and pretty delicious! Alas that was my last bottle.

Last week in Bangkok at Blue by Alain Ducasse. Really really fun lunch with an excellent wine pairing. Slight variation on dessert since MrsDaver6 can't eat chocolate. Personally I prefer when she forgets to mention this and I get two desserts...

Not being able to eat chocolate is almost worse than not being able to eat fish

My friend brought La Muse from oversea 2 months ago, it is cloudy, I think this is the sign of bottle shock. I will expect it will be better. It just tasted a good wine not great.

I brought graveyard, I think it is the star at the night. The delicate, fine, strong tannic go through from tough to nose.

Char is not special, average quality among French wine, good Aussie wine can beat with no doubt.

Lakes folly is young, it doesn’t need to breath. Good wine.

Rockford cork is broken when open, lucky we have ah-so to take the cork out. Personally I prefer needle opener which pump air into bottle to pop the cork out. It’s is so flat, I thought it is storage reason. At the last minute, it finally wake up, leather, but the tannic is not good as graveyard. Usually if the wine wake up that late, I will consider it suffer at least a certain period of bad storage. At least the cork condition provides it.

irvine grant merlot, very disappointed. A $100 wine make with the way of $20 wine. Typical low range wine making, strong on nose, taste a bit bitter, favour gone fast on palate.
