Re: No more QF chauffer drive to LAX and DFW

Surely people weren't born yesterday. this is marketing spin 101.

Sorry Pu BUT I am failing to see your point here? What are you trying to say?

Re: No more QF chauffer drive to LAX and DFW

Your family's predicament is a perfect example of what a clusterf#*% this poorly executed decision can have for existing customers.
I sincerely hope that QF gets to hear about this from you and that they provide a satisfactory level of assistance.
The decision making processes of Qantas of late reminded me of the term we used in the military.

SNAFU :!:

Re: No more QF chauffer drive to LAX and DFW

Huh, bad luck, computer says no is marketing spin????
No, the QF press releases are marketing spin. The CSR interactions are ignorant "computer says no" responses.

The " spin " is bit I hate!

Consumers are smarter than they have ever been and companies these days need to understand that.

QF just seem to be a company out of control, intent on destroying the good will they have.

Re: No more QF chauffer drive to LAX and DFW

As I have posted elsewhere:

Yair, well, for the Oz-USA legs QF still seems to have edge altho' the front-end/upstairs hedonism level seems to be diminishing, and on the strength of that, and seeing as how I'm spending my $$$s for the bucket-trip to Europe next year, and most things being equal, Emirates' 'frames'd be preferred over the QF 'product', but it'll be SQ, as theirs is by far more and better value ... the sooner QF's head sherangs and Board get sorted out the better.

... and four weeks out from our trip BNE-LAX, not a peep from Customer Service about the (withdrawn) Chauffeur service, and it is still showing as "booked" for the 'to', and 'from', legs ... so, waiting ...

Re: No more QF chauffer drive to LAX and DFW

Likewise, no call for our trips yet.

Re: No more QF chauffer drive to LAX and DFW

So yesterday I was speaking to a CSR on the Premium line, regarding a change of booking.
I decided to ask if she new anything about any compensation for removing CD from 2 of my bookings.
Long story-short (after being on hold for 20 mins) she came back to me and said "Mr Dmac6345, I am under the impression that each passenger on your booking will be getting 10,000 FF points credited to your account". She couldn't confirm this (typical) as it would be done by QF Loyalty. Oh, the another thing is that she said it could take up to 8 weeks. What a joke!
Im still trying to work out if this is decent compensation.
Red Roo, are you aware of this and how come it is not common news?
QF are still not making any friends. Horrendous communication!

If it took them 20 minutes to come up with that, I wouldn't be holding my breath for the points for 30 seconds, let alone 8 weeks!

Sounds like they told you what (they think) you wanted to hear.

It's sad, isn't it.

Poor fellow, my airline.

Re: No more QF chauffer drive to LAX and DFW

I totally agree. If QF have made that decision, all of thee or staff should be aware of it.
One thing for sure is that QF cannot be trusted. All of their customers are being lied to, on an almost daily basis.

Re: No more QF chauffer drive to LAX and DFW

I have no reply to my email to QF FF re CD compensation for existing bookings after one week.

Would anyone have the email address of QF Loyalty and/or AJ's office ?

Thanks

well - if this is true - I think we should thank AFF for raising the issue of compensation to start with! I think we showed on here that we're not going to take this lying down. So good on AFF!

Hope this is correct - 2 on my booking would be 20,000 QFF pts for a ~$120 taxi fee - .6c ea - I can live with that - would be even better if I could convince Cruiserette to just once open her wallet and let a few moths escape!

Re: No more QF chauffer drive to LAX and DFW

I did, Markis10

About one week ago !

Hi legroom,

When QF9 was delayed and then cancelled back in March I made it known to the staff in the J lounge at the time that what happened and especially how poorly it was handled and that it was just not acceptable.

About a few days later I received an email from QF customer care asking for feedback. I replied to that email on the same day.

They only responded to my email with offers of compensation two weeks ago.

So yeh if that's anything to go by you may be in for a few more weeks of waiting
