I heard that someone's upgrade just came through. Happy dance time for her.

I wonder who that would be???
My upgrade came through too. Thank goodness, as I don't think I could do an overnight flight in Y!

Hvr and I are planning to get to NRT about 1430-1500 hrs.

We expect to head to the CX lounge first.

I'll meet you in the CX lounge tomorrow :).
I have a late check out at the CP Narita but may get to the airport earlier.

Off to Aeon Mall to do a little shopping now.

Looks like I can only get my MH boarding pass at 610pm.
MH checkin counter won't let me print it this morning at NRT.
Ah well.

Yikes! Try finding a PC with printer attached and do online checkin. It worked for me in BKK earlier this week.

Good luck ermen.

I'm staying at the CP Narita and they charge to use the business centre including printer .
When I expressed my dismay the receptionist told me to send the boarding pass to the duty manager who would print it ;).
Saved!

Issue is MH is doing their system upgrade this weekend and the OLCI is down.

Bad mistake - made the assumption that checkin could print it. Checkin counter even said that i cant use an OLCI boarding pass.
On hindsight, probably should have gone to the transfer counter when I came in this morning.

Double bugger.

Time enough to head into Tokyo for some sightseeing?

Yup thats what I intend to do.

Going to church, then going for lunch at Rokurinsha ramen, then Tsukiji to buy some tamago.

Got to think of a way to sort this MH BP. Fingers crossed OLCI comes back and I'll try to wing it airside. Feel like a travel noob today...

Time enough to head into Tokyo for some sightseeing?

Or go on one of four free guided tours offered by the Narita Transit and Stay Program...
I went to Tako town yesterday and had two fantastic guides all to myself! We hired electric bikes, rode around the rice paddies, to a temple surrounded by blooming hydrangeas and enjoyed a delicious tempura lunch at a local restaurant. As a bonus the Furusato Tako-machi hydrangea festival is being held today.

The booking counter is on the arrivals floor and opens at 9am.

WTF. According to Qantas, a computer glitch means that although I've checked in online, that I cannot be issued with a BP until staff arrive, sometime after 5. ...I've received no BP via email either. Any suggestions?

call them and get them to cancel your online check in so you can re-do?

Is it worth phoning QF in Australia (I use Keep Calling) and asking them to email you a PDF of your boarding pass?

I'm in the (very ordinary) CX lounge now - turn right as you enter the lounge...

Hvr and I have joined Fifa.

Sorry to hear of the troubles - Fifa had just brought us up to speed.

Sing out if we can do anything from airside?

Thanks. I already tried this, and was told that they cannot issue via email. It's either the computer does it automatically, or you wait until check in.
I'm in flight currently. I'll try calling to request they cancel my online check-in when I land. Cheers Yohy?!
