Ouch can you get a chocolate mule to get the Royce chocolates home in a cooler?

Mrscove knows Royce chocolates come in a silver wrapper with cooling sachets included.

I doubt they would survive. I have a 3 hour layover in BNE, and a four hour drive after I get to MEL.
May be use the lounge fridge in BNE? In MEL, with the current weather, you shouldn't have anything to worry about.

You do know it's going to be 20 degrees here in Melbourne today?

Am now on annual leave* and getting ready to fly to Japan tomorrow morning.

* Can it be called annual leave when you have three lots per annum?

May give this event a miss as flight timings from/to BKK are not ideal and I cannot justify so much time away from wife and daughter.

I ran out of annual (& LSL) so I have opted to take a couple of months of leave without pay:).

Ha! :).....I'm personally down to 4+ weeks AL (from 23 weeks in 2010) but have about 10 months LSL for a rainy day.

So, is anybody else in Japan yet? Am currently in Kyoto and will travel to Tokyo on Saturday.

Well the first AFF meeting around this function has occurred in Japan.Today MaxwellSmart and I took the train from Kyoto to Tokyo for lunch and some shopping and then returned this evening.

The journey is 513 kilometres each way and timed to the minute on the Hikari Shinkansen.

The JR Rail pass meant this journey didn't cost anything above the cost of the pass, if we'd paid it would've cost ¥13,600 (A$164) each way. The seven day JR Pass cost me A$324.

Tomorrow off to Osaka to catch up with Jessica.
