Oneworld Classic Flight Reward Discussion - The Definitive Thread

Anyone else's multi-city blown a gasket?

No matter the origin I get : You will be taken to our Australian site to make this booking. under the first flight.

Any international origin just loops back to error. Tried multiple browsers. Same thing.

Hi guys, I was wondering is their any guide, article or rule of thumb for when (how many days before flight) any of the partner airlines release their business class rewards seats on the qantas website? Interested in flights from Aus to Europe primarily. cheers

Well this thread is about the Qantas/Oneworld Classic Reward but since you asked, Velocity only shows reward seats at 330 days (assuming the partner has released seats by then).

This list was compiled around 2019 and most likely require updating/correcting:
362 Royal Jordanian
361 Fin Air, Sri Lankan, Iberian
360 Qatar, Japan Airlines, Cathay Pacific
354 British Airways, Malaysian Airlines
353 Qantas (for Gold+ members)
330 American Airlines
297 Qantas(for Bronze members)

But nothing to do with Velocity. Only OneWorld. The OP has posted in a thread unrelated to their enquiry.

Hi guys,

Hope someone can shed some light on this for me.

Is the cap for the RTW flights at 6 flights?
Or can I add more flights as makeshift transits?

eg - I cant seem to get MEL->DEL->HEL when I search using the multi city tool

Instead I can do
Flight 1: MEL->DEL
Flight 2: DEL->HEL
(Leaving DEL within 24 hrs)

So in this case can i revisit DEL at a later time for a proper stop over?

I thought I read an article from AFF a while back which discussed availability and release times but I cant find it now

Yes you can.

But be aware there are reports that doing an overnight transit and staying in DEL airport is a nightmare.
Thanks, just to clarify.

I can do more than 6 routes (booked via the call center? and not the online multi tool?)
And I can create my own transits manually without being a linked flight?

Regarding going through DEL, im finding it hard to find other routes into EU atm with Qatar gone. The only other ones are Hong kong and tokyo?
Are there other ones that are worth considering?

Thanks

If I need to book manual transits instead of proper married flights and the number of flights exceeds 6.

Is the only way to call up the call center?
