Oneworld separate ticket interline changes

.......I read somewhere in this thread that BA has locked down their checkin system so it is impossible to override it, but someone a couple of days ago reported that AA had a way for a supervisor to override.

The reference to AA and the specific circumstances are at post #368 above.
I certainly would not rely on a repeat of the use of the over-ride by a Supervisor. We were just fortunate - and the timing added to that, in that the provision had just come into play.
The system definitely precluded the check-in agent from using any discretion.

This is correct - although F check-in at SYD had no idea about it a couple of weeks ago - all they did was repeat the "you know the policy is changing" - they were surprised when I showed them the new policy - had no idea at all.

For reference, the policy states: "Are there any circumstances where customers can be through checked when holding oneworld separate PNRs?
Exemptions apply for customers travelling on oneworld separate PNRs when using a combination of award travel and revenue travel. These customers may be through checked and their baggage interlined as it is not possible to make both of these reservations in one PNR."

I assume this is a document that they had at check in?

Haha - you're funny.

Unfortunately - I have little to zero confidence that many check-in staff will have even seen this document.

But if supervisors have bothered to read it in full and actually pass on the entire policy to frontline staff - then we perhaps stand a chance.

What was the source, dfcatch?

Thank you, dfcatch.
However, my search skills are obviously not up to scratch. :) I have not been able to locate that manual.
When you have a moment, could you provide a link, please?

That would be really helpful to have a link where that REV-AWARD tkt part of the policy is stated. I can't find the full OW policy document, even on its own website :/

Perhaps RED ROO would be so kind as to post a copy in the thread for reference?

IM also interested
but i suspect it may be easier to just post it here if possible as it looks like several people are interested in it.

Sorry folks I don't have a document to put online. I have heard the same information as dfcatch posted previously.
If/when I do have it I'll update this thread accordingly.

Ok, so just to clarify what people have been hearing:

Interline (ie. baggage check-through) WILL NOT be offered where separate REVENUE bookings (ie. PNRs) exist on OW carriers.
Interline (ie. baggage check-through) MAY be offered where separate REVENUE TO AWARD bookings (ie. PNRs) exist on OW carriers.

?

Separate PNRs
QF-QF
QF-EK
Separate OneWorld PNRs which are Award and revenue.

There should be no "may" about it. All of the above are supposed to be through checked and have baggage interlined.
