Optus $99/Mth Sim Only Plan - 60,000 Qf Pts

Hi All,

Thanks for all the replies, will definately donate some data, wasn't away one could do this.

Regards...Waussie.

This week is when 4th payments will be start to be deducted from people who signed up in the first offer. It'll be interesting to see if anyone gets their points straight away and if not just how long they take to hit accounts.

I can't wait for the Qf points to post so I can cancel....and end my association with Optus. Could end up being the most costly Qf points ever! :(
Or… Optus could well be the most secure telco in the short term, as long as they haven’t relied solely on marketing spin to plug the security holes

We have three SIMs, only one is being actively used which will be ported as soon as the points hit. I believe you now have to go into store to approve a port out (and lift your credit ban if you temporarily applied one after the hack).

One thing to consider is that once you cancel it will be extremely difficult to engage with Optus. It's not a reason to stay, however I will consider my chances of having my licence and passport replacement fees reimbursed slim to none after the services are cancelled.

I was just charged for my fourth month. I talked to Optus on chat to ask when the points would be credited, fully aware that it would be a total waste of my time and sure enough it was. The person knew absolutely nothing about the promotion and referred me to Qantas. I would be keen to know if/when anyone gets their 60k points.

I also used the message chat with Optus to chase the missing points, thats an hour of my life I will never get back. Total waste of time.
