Reported on twitter that swann and conroy also gone.

I reckon they resigned before they were pushed. They have been loyal to Julia and Kevin will not want them any where near his cabinet.

Of course this brings to mind the old joke, what's the difference between cactus and caucus? On a cactus all of the cough are on the outside.

Antony Green on the ABC has just called the new PM Kevin Gillard.:lol:

Billy's never taken his eyes off the main prize.

It can't. So Kev gets another couple of months as PM then will it be Malcolm T after that?

I agree but for now I think he'll bide his time for at least 12-24 months. He has everything in his favour, including solid union representation and support. He needs to endear himself to the wider public to get a look in.

Climate change Minister gone. NBN Minister gone. Treasurer gone. Education Minister going.

Maybe he's getting tired of giving the same answers to the same questions every day.
If he's got any sense, if there is a ballot he won't stand, like last time.
He doesn't give any answers. How long has it been since he did anything but a prepared statement?

As for having any sense, well I don't know about that. His behaviour over the past six years has been extremely selfish. If he had any sense of decency, he wouldn't have done things the way he did. The way that he has constantly undermined Gillard shows that he is disloyal and not a team player.

But it's going to be even more interesting, watching Labor trying to pretend that they are solidly behind Kevin13.

I'm glad you clarified you were talking about Kevin there, the first few sentences are equally applicable to Tony.
