Well now I know why we cant let boat people in according to Fiona Scott Liberal candidate for Sydney it is the fear they will make the traffic worse thus making Mums late for childcare , if that is the standard of politician we get nowadays God help us all. That goes for both sides of politics.

So glad when the election is over and people will just go into their corner for three years and sulk.
I remember in 1996 the Labor disaster was so epic that one minister just got into his car and drove away. Didn't stop until he hit the Indian Ocean. His seat - his ex-seat - was in Sydney.

There might be a bit of that going on.

I'm going to enjoy Saturday night immensely. I mean, I always like these things, but there promises to be a bit more colour and plain talking than usual.

Traffic problems are a major concern. Especially in Sydney. More people equals more cars on the road equals longer travel times. This might be OK for those who can leave home a little earlier or leave work a little later to compensate, but if you have kids as well as a job, this is a real problem.

A brilliant question on Q&A tonight from the floor:

"Prime Minister, apart from the weather vane of public opinion, what do you actually stand for??"

I spat out part of my red wine which was a real pity as:

(A) I had to clean it up and
(B) It was a Mount Langi 2010 Cliff Edge Shiraz

I'd say it's a reasonably safe bet that not many refugees who arrive on a boat will be driving around.

(Not to mention the volume of other immigrants utterly dwarfs the number of refugees.)

Lol that's a waste you need to learn to snort instead then you can drink a whole glass up your nose

I have a similar question when I see the promo for kitchen cabinet with Abbott saying politics is about theatre. What telling a made up story?

Hmmm, I was tagging your post....nothing to do with me;)

And my post was about you and the snide comments whenever someone questions abbott. Still at least you're not as bad a pukka who seems to think that anyone who questions abbott has never paid tax and couldn't possibly have any investments at all. Says a lot about the intellect of the rabid abbott supporters and there inability to accept that people can think for themselves.

Kev, do you like my hair up or down.....ohh, I'm not allowed to talk to you ABC people anymore. Agreed - the problem is in all parties.

I'm so looking forward to it, I've been keeping the David Lynch Dom Pom for a special occasion so I'll start with that and if KRudd loses his seat I'll get the really good stuff out.

Well, hopefully over quick because there are footy finals on.

There you go again with RABID.....it appears to be taking control.

Anyway, interesting you haven't bothered to review earlier posts on the various matters mentioned. It just seems to add to the view that you're not interested in anything other than distorting the facts and being disruptive.

Q - why do you constantly attack other members that dare to have a different view to yours? That's the true definition of RABID!

"With respect Prime Minister, I reject your answer." - from an RN.

S***, there goes the rest of the glass of red. Better go and get a refill.

If I didn't need to head to bed after Q&A, I'd replay it.

No, the true definition of rabid is these sort of snide attacks when someone questions your beliefs. What you're missing is I'm questioning your view. I'm not defending Rudd at all. I'm questioning your view that Abbott provides a viable alternative. I'm question your view by pointing out the hypocrisy in Abbott's statements. Instead of address his failings you continue to response with distraction and false accusation.

It's a very simple question. How can you support Abbott's plan to introduce a deposit tax when you castigated Rudd for proposing to do the same? How can you claim the current government is an economic disaster, but support excessive, unfunded spending by Abbott on his PPL policy? How can you claim to believe in the Liberal ideal of the market but then support Direct Action?

You have discussed these issues you've just attacked anyone who raises the Abbott's obvious faults.

I can believe you're watching it. The man is an irrelevance. Showtime is much better viewing.

Kevin, FGS, brevity is next to Godliness. Stop padding your responses and answer the question.

Woo hoo, Kevin gets into a religious debate .

Woah, then he has a go at my industry. Sorry, you lost me - but understand you never had me.

You're fighting a losing campaign Kev.

Really, it can all come down to Rudd's basic "Me Too" - very similar to 2007 in policy announcements/changes.

Kev07 ≈ John; now Kev13 ≈ Tony.

So discard policy, discard personality, it's who may be better to govern?

I just look at the inability of the government to get their budgets correct for the last 6 years.

He probably realises that but I guess at least he turned up, disappointed not to see both leaders there.
