Funny thing is, I've now got a desk full of cards, luggage tags, trick boxes, wire ties because it seems I'm looking after the families, as well as the stuff-ups and now my nice new shiny golds. All in all, my desk looks a bit like I'm starting an illicit VA merchandise shop, with red, silver and gold everywhere........just need a platinum sample and I could get a market stall right beside the $2 latest release movies and gold Rolex stands :shock:

lol dont give them ideas! hahaha they have already opened fake Apple stores in china, making fake platinum FF cards will be a walk in the park.

Arrived home to a rather familar package in the mail. With bated breath, I opened said package and.........................

Same - very impressive package though

I'm not ungrateful, can never have too many baggage tags, but I am just excited waiting for my online status to update.... Hopefully before my next DJ flight on Friday

MsPG actually asked me if I made the VA WP card on a printer or did the AFF baggage tag guy print it? She WMBO stills doesn't believe AFF is who I talk to on my laptop. She calls AFF, "The Other Woman". :shock:

Just home after flying home from Canberra and the nice swish plat pack was waiting for me.

I got mine today in the mail (finally), but my wife whom probably was one of the first to get status upgraded from me got her platinum pack as well. So i am betting they were both ordered and printed at the same time. (Wife upgrade came through i think about 4 days after the new program came live)..
So they must only take about 10 days to actually print and post?

Yes, mine was. Nice to see their are some advantages to having flown the airline.

Will be flying etihad in Y next week. Will be interested to see how they handle the platinum card at their various ports and how clued up their staff are to it. Taking my old gold card just in case.

I was already Gold (brevet) and received a new package around the 31[SUP]st[/SUP] August with the new Gold tags and wire rope as well as a new Chipped Gold Member card.

Expecting to see the Platinum version in the coming weeks.

Where is the chip? I can't spot it on the platinum card but its a much darker card so perhaps harder to see as a result?

Looking at the front, it's at the lower Right hand corner about 1cm from the edges.

Easiest to see it's location indicated by a distortion¹ in the card's shiny surface when reflecting a light source.

¹ ~4mm high x 6mm wide
