Looking at the front, it's at the lower Right hand corner about 1cm from the edges.

Easiest to see it's location indicated by a distortion¹ in the card's shiny surface when reflecting a light source.

Spotted it. It's extremely subtle on the black face of the card but it's there. I assume it's an RFID thing?

Received my Gold pack today after getting my Silver one about a week and a half ago.

Problem is so many bag tags and not enough bags. Maybe I should attach one to myself in case I get lost.

You would think so too, but, I'd assume they would use something more sturdy than a thin metal cable if we were going to be using those tags to replace baggage tags.

The Virgin IT infrastructure is nowhere near close to being able to handle anything like Next Gen Checkin. So it'll be a while before we start to see anything fancy like that.

Platinum package arrived on Wednesday (unfortunately I was interstate) but still a great surprise to receive after returning from the airport tonight.
very impressed with the presentation box and how it slides out..... Very nice touch JB...

I qualified the hard way by doing the miles and was platinum on the web the day after the launch.... Great to have the tags and the card now......

Mine took a couple weeks to turn up once Platinum was released - lets assume they already knew who was going to be Platinum and had requested packs before release, so based on that - perhaps you'll get yours around 3 weeks after qualifying..?

Eh. Official word was two weeks. But, I'm being realistic and don't expect if for around 4 weeks. Since I got in a week after status matching happened. They would have a fair few to print at the moment!!

My Gold card does the trick at the moment.

My housemate who was a 'proper' DJ WP (had well over 1000SC's months before Platinum qualification levels were announced) received his last week, so looks like that prize was taken

I collected my DJ SG pack from my PO box yesterday (with a date of 12 AUG on the letter). I think Aus Post may have mixed things up a bit though, as two packaged arrived, and I only got one notice (as another parcel not DJ related). 2 weeks later I suddenly got two 'final notice' cards in my PO box, which I picked up yesterday. Was just the DJ Gold pack (a re-issue for my old Gold card).

So, i'll end up with the SG and WP packs, 5 bag tags, 2 membership cards, and 6 of the nice metal ties (the extra one from the temporary card).

Actually, I may well end up with 2 x WP packs; the first might or might not have been sent to the wrong address, so could be 3 cards, 8 bag tags and 9 ties. We'll see

But no, no WP pack yet (expecting it momentarily; hopefully sooner than later as I have a lot of DJ travel coming up, and no QF flights booked, it's all gone to DJ now!).
