Re: QF to resume PER-SIN flights

Looks like BA have jumped straight back on... but no codeshare yet, I guess that will follow...

Re: QF to resume PER-SIN flights

When you do a drop down window Perth - coughet , the flights go via Syd,. Per -Syd - coughet. Does that mean QF can't do a connection to coughet from Perth?

Re: QF to resume PER-SIN flights

It's actually just a case of there being a pre-existing BA fare PER-LHR that allowed QF sectors PER-SIN even when there wasn't one scheduled.

Re: QF to resume PER-SIN flights

PJs? For 3 hours after the meal service but before landing? Good luck changing in the WC!

I'm wondering if there is an option to configure a dedicated 738 with say 8 full flat business sleepers?

Based on the seat pitch for AA's 321T flagship service (58' pitch with a bed length of 78'), that would mean the removal of one row of business and one row of economy, for a total reduction of 10 seats... but a true international J service.

With their ideology of fleet harmonisation, I strongly doubt it.

<snip>

Whenever flying long haul J, I always ask one of the cabin crew for my PJs as soon as I'm in my seat & get changed into them before the plane has even finished boarding! :)

I would book now. If the QF website was working.

Would have been nice to get an email about this. Instead of the emails about golf and everything else I am not interested in.

Re: QF to resume PER-SIN flights

I was hoping this wouldn't get a mention, just in case it goes down the S&F route...

This would assume that QF isn't convinced that the S&F system is already perfect...very unlikely :p

I didn't, but my mum who manages a qantas business account, did.

We are pleased to share the news that Qantas will return to the Perth - Singapore route as part of a number of improvements for West Australian travellers, with special launch fares for our customers to celebrate.
Perth - Singapore with Qantas
From 26 June 2015, we will operate almost 1,700 seats on five return Boeing 737 services between Perth and Singapore each week.* We know how important it is for our West Australian business travellers to have seamless access to Asia, so we are delighted to have made this service possible with our focus on increasing aircraft utilisation and matching schedules with customer demand.

  • A late afternoon arrival into Singapore at 5.20pm provides excellent connections to key regional destinations across Asia with our airline partners, including to Tokyo, Shanghai and Delhi.
  • Our midday departure allows customers to connect to Singapore from regional WA locations including Geraldton, Kalgoorlie and Karratha, all within three hours
  • Seat-back on-demand inflight entertainment and new economy meals.
  • A dedicated 12 seat Business cabin - a Neil Perry Rockpool dining experience and amenity kits from Kate Spade and Jack Spade.
  • Qantas pyjamas in Business on the Singapore - Perth evening service.
  • Access to the Qantas Lounge at Perth's international terminal and multi-million dollar Qantas Singapore lounge for eligible customers.
Delivering more for our customers in WA
Customers in WA will also benefit from a number of improvements in the domestic network:

  • Two additional weekly return services between Perth and Brisbane.
  • Qantas' fifth upgraded A330 aircraft with new Business Suites, with lie-flat beds will today enter service from Brisbane to Perth and join our other two A330s already operating on East-West routes.
  • A new domestic Business Lounge with capacity for more than 350 customers will open its doors later this year.
To better respond to the changing dynamics of the resources market, a number of routes from Perth to regional WA will see a change in aircraft type from B737 to F100 from later this year. We'll be sure to keep you updated when these changes occur.
Special launch fares
Special all inclusive sale fares are available from $199 one way in Economy and from $1499 return in Business from 12:30 AEST today until 11.59pm AEST 30 April 2015, unless sold out prior. We have also published fares to a number of South-East Asian destinations from Perth via Singapore. For full details on today's announcement and to book, visit qantas.com.
