Bah, I went to seat selection at T-79h59m for my flight on QF510 (on a 738) this morning, and still couldn't get row 4!

I think though that there are many WPs who "manage" to fly QF even though they might be on a BFOD booking system. Now they might be inclined to not manage to fly QF.

QBT had a marvellous system (for QF fans) of charging a $27 or so booking fee for DJ flights. Generally managed to make QF cheaper. I'm told now that for some accounts QBT is price matching DJ.

Cheers skip

Heh, yeah, I have seen that happen ... suddenly a good seat opened up well after T-80.

Sadly I meant the flight was the morning, and I only managed to get to 5A. There was a couple in 4 B/C with a baby, and 4A (the seat I would have normally taken if available) was empty, so I'm not sure what happened there!

I find CL's have a larger shadow!

Tell me about it. It's horrible in CBR sometimes - but E/F seat alerts help a lot.

Now that I have my seat for tomorrow's flight, there's no way I'm moving:

:D

The worst I've seen was everything forward of the exits being blocked on a 734, even for me as a WP.

They blocked the seat next to me on qf 128 a few weeks ago. (this was an exit row seat too.)

So!I have a larger shadow than most CLs.
Just to throw a little more oil on the fire.Just want to comment on the QF 1000 mile minimum earn.I credit all flights that can earn AA miles to AA.They have only a 500 mile minimum earn but as AA plat I earn 100% bonus on my bonus miles so last week's sectors look like this-
DPO-MEL-miles-128,bonus-872,total-1000.
MEL-SYD-miles-280,bonus-720,total-1000.

I will be taking full advantage of WP anytime access this week whilst collecting Princess Fiona Jnr aka Felicia from SYD and dropping her off on Sunday. Normally I wouldn't bother but I think I should on this occasion for posterity.

At least let QFF feel like they were justified in their decision!

By the way, shouldn't that be 'Felicia' (http://shrek.wikia.com/wiki/Felicia)? I'm always impressed with how you and Homer maintain the reference, so I'm guessing this was an obscure one... ;)

They blocked an exit row middle seat next to me as a Bronze earlier this year, though perhaps the guy next to my blocked seat was in fact a WP? I’m not sure though, I don’t think so ;)

Wish you were there on Wednesday! Could do with a guest spot to the J lounge :p

Just to claify, the 500 minum is only for those with status.

An AAdvantage member with no status would earn 220 miles between MEL and SYD in O class on QF.

Post edited and thankyou :) I lost track of the movies after the first 2. I love staying in character.
