Predictions of when international flights may resume/bans lifted

It's one thing to be locked in whilst other states are discussing overseas travel plans; it's quite another to be locked in and watching the photos on social media and news stories on TV.

I imagine it will be very much like how we felt when Europe & the US returned to normal life including travel whilst we were locked up with the Kiwis.

It will last a month at most.

I predicted a while ago International Borders would open when this thread get's to 13,000 posts. By the time all the quarantine and testing and actual people flying in I might be close.

Maybe WA will do the China censorship thing and block photos? Or just maybe the WA folk really don't care anymore. They won't want to wear masks like everyone else has to do.

Will be interested to learn how they will be transported from airport to home on arrival.
Does anyone know how this has been done in other trails (in SA or NSW)?
So many people were asking that question in the comments on that post.
My husband reckons they'll parachute us in as we must arrive by air.

I hear there is a limo driver in NSW available
He wouldn't have been so famous (or pilloried) if the government/s (Fed and NSW) had developed, implemented and enforced PPE standards and vax requirements for HotelQ transfer drivers...

Who's up for placing odds on whether they will announce these 'further details' that airlines need by the end of this week.

Let-It-Rip Dom (new NSW Premier) just brought forward a whole bunch of freedoms from Gladys road map including nightclubs, schools, not wearing masks etc. and kept on saying we can never go back into lockdown and its all about the economic recovery now.

Hoping he announces something about travel caps soon as well.

Wow that’s a much faster and big snap back to normality for NSW! Lovely for them!

That's good sign, may be in couple of month QLD home Q will get real traction making it possible to fly overseas via SYD and come back straight home before Christmas for 14 day iso
Dom hasn’t told you about the $3000 transit fee yet.
