Predictions of when international flights may resume/bans lifted

Let-It-Rip Dom (new NSW Premier) just brought forward a whole bunch of freedoms from Gladys road map including nightclubs, schools, not wearing masks etc. and kept on saying we can never go back into lockdown and its all about the economic recovery now.

Hoping he announces something about travel caps soon as well.
He was never a fan of lockdowns....I wonder how much of this was agreed to by the CHO. Wouldn't surprise me if this all goes pear shape in terms of hospitalisations and deaths that the CHO may resign....

Well that sucks, in my situation 4 people would need to move out for 2 weeks, cheaper/easier to just pay for the hotel quarantine and get the food and tests included.
Or they would quarantine with you. Might suit some. Maybe book an airBNB for a week. Family could provision it the day before. I'd avoid hotel quarantine at all cost.

I'd rather a reopen Premier than a lockdown Premier or zero-covid Premier
I don't think anyone wants a lockdown Premier now that we have vaccine supply readily available. Hope that category is gone for good soon. Don't think the shut ins are going away just yet, though.

To be honest the threat is coming the other way.

I hope that NSW and VIC can open to international together. It’d be a good reward for both states

There’s no threat because people are vaccinated it’s going to spread from somewhere.

If Singapore with about 83% of total population ( 90% of eligible are double vaxxed to use the Australian metric) are anything to go by, cases will explode. But hopefully hospitalisations won’t increase so quickly. Currently at 3,500 new cases a day although hospitalisations have increased much more slowly, with an increase from 1335 to 1520 in the last week. Notable as similar population as Melbourne and Sydney, but obviously denser.

I can't see the conditions as it's paywalled but you can get cottages etc on AirBNB.

Not allowed 😔
"A freestanding dwelling may include a duplex or townhouse where there are no shared common areas and entry to the property is separate from other dwellings,” the form stated.

“It does not include temporary commercial accommodation (for example, a holiday rental or Air BnB).

Not sure they’d know that once things ramp up.

NSW reached 70% (almost 71 actually) today and is forecast to reach 80% DD by end of next week.

I have a feeling the 'announcement' will only come after reaching 80% DD.
