I’m not sure I even want to go any more…Do they really think the Australian public thinks this is anything but a con job?
Probably using a recent (within 6 months) Covid positive result as a [temporary] reason for not being able to be vaccinated. You can blame ATAGI for that option. No real surprise but Novak Djokovic received his vaccination exemption and is on his way to Australia
If it fits within the timeframe, no reason it can't be done in the UK.Hi All - I'm flying from Rome (Italy) to Melbourne with Qatar Airways next month. Being based in the UK however, I plan on flying from London to Rome the night before my flight - on a separate ticket with BA.
I need a PCR 72 hrs prior - can I get this done in the UK? Or does it have to be in Italy? There is no clear explanation on this.
It was well over a year ago that he was infected during that super(spreader) tournament he arranged. Sometime in 2020Probably using a recent (within 6 months) Covid positive result as a [temporary] reason for not being able to be vaccinated. You can blame ATAGI for that option.
Quite possible he has had it again since then. Unvaccinated player that travels a lot and is well known to socialiseIt was well over a year ago that he was infected during that super(spreader) tournament he arranged. Sometime in 2020
The DJoker has probably had at least one go of every variant by nowIt was well over a year ago that he was infected during that super(spreader) tournament he arranged. Sometime in 2020
What pre-departure PCR requirement?UK are dropping the pre-departure PCR requirement again. May be useful for some on here. Don't have any more details than that so not sure on dates.
I mean when you leave Australia before flying to UK. Used to be RAT but they changed it to PCR early December. You need it booked beforenyou leave for the Passenger Locator formWhat pre-departure PCR requirement?
Do you mean pre-departure testing requirement (can be RAT or PCR) or do you mean Day 2 is dropping from a PCR and going back to a RAT as it was previously?
Not quite. A pre-departure test (flying to the UK) was required for a while - it was RAT or PCR. It was then removed. Then, early December, it was brought back in.I mean when you leave Australia before flying to UK. Used to be RAT but they changed it to PCR early December. The below is a news outlet conjecture. Nothing has been officially announced by DfT or the Home Office, but there's an expected announcement either tomorrow or Friday in which it is thought that that the pre-departure test will be removed again, only 1-2 months after it was brought back. The 2nd comment about removal of a PCR test is also incorrect and nothing has been announced. Again, this was bumped up from a RAT to PCR in December. I'd be surprised if it was removed entirely, with it being more likely to be bumped back down to a RAT but would of course be happy to see it go.

…??? or is he actually vaccinated ??The DJoker has probably had at least one go of every variant by now
Make a lot of objectionable noise if he plays when you are there. Even the players are angry. Well, Murray isI’m not sure I even want to go any more…
Brilliant news. Now, Australia?UK are dropping the pre-departure PCR requirement again. May be useful for some on here. Don't have any more details than that so not sure on dates.

Until they get rid of PCR tests, international travel is never going to recover. Too much danger of surprise positive, or lingering positive weeks or months after infection stopping you flying. Now if only SQ would remove the preflight test for transit pax at least!
