Qantas A380 reliability issues creeping up again?

And despite the issues with VH-OQH - seemingly still stuck in Singapore resulting in cancellation of QF2, QF12 and presumably QF12.

Qantas just dispatched an empty VH-OQG to AUH as QF6015.
Looks like OQH is scheduled to be ferried back to SYD tonight as QF6016

QF actually sells SQ flights so not a surprise

It also seems to be working in the other way around. SQ is selling, and in some cases prioritising Qantas flights above their VA codeshare flights for connections to/from cities like CBR, HBA and OOL. In fact every non-SQ city in Australia now has Qantas options loaded alongside VA for the domestic connections.

Not prioritising but sorted by travel duration as pointed out in a separate thread:

Indeed - although BA has a much bigger long haul fleet to cover for tech issues
Understanding they have different fleet available, but they only have 12 A380s. With the amount out of service at the moment, it would be causing a lot of issues.

All depends on what utilisation you program.
That many aircraft going tech is going to hurt even the most conservatively planned schedule

The difference i guess is QF has pushed thr a380 routes to the bare minimum now and even then if there's a sneeze we'll see cancellations.

OQD operating QF1 going back to gate at SYD with an alarm on engine 3.

According to the Captain, the issues started on the previous flight from LAX and were looked at by engineering already, hence the 1.5 hour delay before push back.

Then just as we started taxiing, the alarm returned. Can't imagine this will be a quick fix, but they're keeping us all on the plane for now.

Sounds like the A380 schedules are about to get all messed up again! Oh wait haven't they got a spare now?

Engine run test still indicates a fault after engineers went through their checklist.

They're undertaking maintenance now - no ETA but we're being kept onboard still. Delayed 3 hours and counting, wondering if the pilots/FAs will time out soon...

Im 0/3 this year for a380s and my maths says this should be the outbound flight for my Monday SIN -SYD.

They've sourced the part they think will fix the problem, ETA for the aircraft to be "serviceable" is 7:30pm - 4h45m late
Hope you get in the air soon. We know how QF is with their estimates.
