Qantas A380 reliability issues creeping up again?

thanks, but when we tried it, it told me that “you shouldn’t have reached this page”

Possibly it’s for flyers with status.
Odd, definitely not a status limited thing as I’ve had non status family members use it. Shame because it offers options on other airlines making it easy to see the things QF would rebook to.

And despite the issues with VH-OQH - seemingly still stuck in Singapore resulting in cancellation of QF2, QF12 and presumably QF12.

Qantas just dispatched an empty VH-OQG to AUH as QF6015.

Imagine if QF had in-house maintenance capability and could be more flexible in these scenarios!

Well they do - for minor maintenance. But a fleet of 10 A380s isn't really big enough to do everything in house.

Believe OQG was meant to go to AUH yesterday, but operated a LAX leg I suspect in place of OQD (which had just returned from AUH) so possibly today it was at an hour/cycle's limit for something and couldn't be pulled into service again.

And looks like OQD is operating QF1 today, so at least it's back in service.

It’s been a roller coaster.
First, the original agent (the one who faffed around while the flights filled) said she had booked him to fly tonight on Air NZ and Delta, arriving at 1040pm local time.
That didn’t gel with any flights I could find. Turned out the flight left tomorrow morning, not tonight, and the agent had her am and pm mixed up.
Then, he was being sent to SFO, but that fell through.
Then he was flying to BNE at 6:30 to connect with a flight there, but by the time they spoke to him, the seat had gone.
Now, he is on tomorrow nights flight.
Hopefully they don’t change it again, he actually has a seat number, so fingers crossed.
Thanks everyone for your advice.

For QF2, QF11, QF12
Was there a stated reason for the cancellation?
We are sorry to let you know that your upcoming flight to Sydney has been cancelled.

Our dedicated resolutions team is looking at alternative flight options for you and will send updated details as soon as possible, this may take some time due to availability on other flights.

The A380 aircraft due to operate your flight from Los Angeles to Sydney is delayed in Singapore due to an engineering issue.

Unfortunately, this will not be resolved in time for your flight.

We sincerely apologise for this disruption. Your safety is our number one priority, and we appreciate your patience and unders
tanding.

See earlier post herein:
I'm booked on tonight's QF2 operated by OQH which pushed back on time but had to return to the gate for engineers to check on a #3 engine issue before we were eventually requested to disembark. Still waiting for the engineers to run testing on the engine...
