Qantas apologises to frequent flyers with status extensions, lounge passes, points & more reward seats

I wonder if the strong safety culture will be exhibited when the planes fly themselves? Hopefully there’s always a couple of pilots on board to ensure the pilots’ strong safety culture spruiked by Al remains.

Hi,

I'm Gold and finished on 935 SC on 31st Jan.

Am I right in thinking I should get some of those points rolled into this year? Or do I not qualify for that?
@Simpic - has your roll over occurred by now?

I am still seeing a big fat zero but it now says 363 days left instead of the -2 days.

I'm in the same boat. A WP that expired Jan 31. My SC's has also gone back to 0 and I was expecting around 450 to be credited. Will give it until next week before calling.

The probability of this happening in the next decade is 0. (if anyone wants to set a reminder for 6 February 2033 to check-up on this assertion is more than welcome!)

Anybody received their rollover credits yet?

My year expired 31 Dec and it was mid Jan before I saw my rollover credits.

It seems so random!

When I sort my Activity Statement by date, this is what I see below. Why did it take a whole month for the SC's to be wiped? Been a week into February now and the rollover SC's haven't been offered yet either.

The table half way down this linked page suggests the rollover will happen “early February” for those with 31/1 anniversary (like me). It comes as a nice surprise for me actually because I totally forgot that I was eligible for a rollover this year until this thread popped up again and I was starting to map out how to requalify in a year that looks like having less work travel.

I also forgot about the rollover - are DSCs included? I'm not sure if they count as a "bonus" or "gift".

This part doesn't say either way:
Which Status Credits count towards the rollover?
Status Credits earned through flying or with our partners on the ground will count towards the rollover. Status Credits provided by Qantas as a bonus, support or gift won’t count towards the rollover.

I must just be lucky or something. But knowing my luck, they'll forget my rollover credits altogether now.

yes, in my experience DSC's were rolled over. They're not a gift. Are they a bonus? Kind of, but either way I had earned DSC's roll over. I think QF classifies them as earned through flying.

DSC means that the airline has temporarily amended the earn rates on eligible flights; not described as a bonus (that is something gifted and not earned). Therefore, the doubled sc’s should be treated exactly the same as the base regular ones.

Excellent, good to know. Certainly helps with potential calculations for next year.

Here's hoping there will be a DSC promotion soon.

I transferred one of the domestic Business Lounge passes that I got from last year's apology (as a gold member at the time) to my mum to use ahead of her flight today. She says they denied her entry to the Business Lounge but let her into the Qantas Club.
Busy?
