As far as I'm concerned, they can take the $50 and shove it. It makes zero difference to me. I'm sure they will find another way to recoup it, or make it impossible to use.
I'll take the status extension, as it means I don't have to fly with them anymore, and instead build status with VA.

I selected 'use cash or points' and then Classic awards. Had to log in for the later and the first just gave me (ridiculously expensive ) flights for next year. I saw your screenshot but can't seem to replicate it.

I can't get to the QF site at all at the moment let alone login.

I'm ringing to book award flights (can't login on web or app) and am on hold. I'm platinum and it asked for my FF number but not my pin so I assume I'm in the queue with no status members.

Got through but the agent in Philippines can't see the flights that I can see online (that I can't book because I can't login). I pushed and he finally said he will ask his back office team - I'm on hold.

I just noticed that the $50 voucher has to be used on a return flight and not even one way! Seriously?!
Anyway, I can't even get into my account now. Was previously logged in but got kicked out and can't get back on...

8 J seats on some SYD-LHR legs. Probably the only time in the history of QF you'll ever get a chance to take that many people to the UK on QF in J on points.

Oh, did logging in on the phone work for you? I'm still getting an error after entering my FF# and PIN.
