Qantas Business Class meals & menus

Given you had a meal on every flight when we did this run in January, sounds like bull cough. Yay for 10k points.

Or special meals have been 'enhanced' to be simpler.

Well, what kind of meals (AVML) were served when you two were jetsetting around?

Not saying it can't happen or what not, just curious to see if they were actually reasonable. Then, of course, if QF could do it before, then why not again...

An update on my contact with QF:

I had a call from Christine, who after discussing the details with me, said she would call catering and QFF and get back to me. In the interim she offered me 10,000 points as a gesture of goodwill.

Could you negotiate 10,000 points per missed meal?

Usually a roast veggie sandwich, or chickpea curry, rice and tofu in sauce. Actually, they are the two staples that QF serves for AVML. I have commented before about the lack of variety. Hmmm.

QF 786 BNE-CNS 29 May - beef cheeks with polenta. I've seen Neil Perry (and others) write about slow-cooked beef cheeks being falling-apart tender. Unfortunately, these beef cheeks had not read that! Dry and tough ... like an over-cooked (but not slow-cooked) piece of steak. If Qantas makes a poiny that Business Class meals are designed by Neil Perry, this meal does Perry's reputation NO good at all.

QF 626 MEL-BNE 29 May - cheese plate FRIST CLASS.

QF 927 CNS-SYD 30 May - fish with beans and potatoes was delicate and tasty.

Beef cheeks is a bit "out of the ordinary" (although, I'm cooking them at home tomorriow) ... clearly, "out of the ordinary" is NOT a good choice on Perry-designed J meals!

As I had Mrs QF WP next to me on these flights I got a couple of extra photos where we had a choice

Do love JASA's and AAwards :D

A roast veggies sanga! I like the sound of that. What is avml - veggie meal? You can keep your tofu.

...... a hand grenade each. I like that.
Well I could have used it for that purpose - wasn't at all to my taste (I'm not a Champagne drinker and don't recall having Grant Burge before, but won't be asking for it again, just too dry for me).
