OT but re QF crews "vs" other airlines, AA etc and stereotypes... that's exactly it. Back in the day, those who used to ply transpac on a regular basis with UA used to refer to the "Prison Matrons" (very senior routes) that usually staffed the flights. Sometimes in jest, other times not so much. My point being that it's unfair to label groups as a whole like that - be it QF, AA or whoever - either good or bad (though I'll admit I've never met a sour SQ crewmember...). People are people, some crews are great, most are average to good and some mebers of any airline have bad days or are just bad at their job, or do not want to be there (and take it out on pax) or whatever. It happens.
Personally I find most QF crewmembers to be pretty good. Some amazing and the odd one to be surly or just not there to serve (had one in F one time on a long haul who was really poor).. it happens though. I bet sometimes I'm a grumpy passenger! I try to not tar everyone with the same brush though.
imo
