Qantas Business Class meals & menus

AKL-SYD 06:30 flight, Nasty timing but worth it for 1K on the 787 rather than the 737 J seats.

Also good to get the printed menu:

Seemed underwhelming, though I guess this is meant to be mainly for those coming from JFK.
PDBs of water or sparkling wine. Most food orders taken before departure.
Soon after take-off the juices and smoothies were brought round and proactively offered. Other drinks offered too.
I had the roll.

It was substantial and very tasty. Generous amount of quality bacon. Only criticism is the cheese was very basic cheddar slices which didn’t melt into the roll at all.
Outstanding crew as I’ve mentioned in another thread.

Were you in Dom J or Int J?
First post referring to this indicates these ribs were in Int..
Domestic; there were several posts indicating one or the other.

I have modified my post to clarify this.

There were much better than they looked.

Had a few J flights around the east coast today

One service with lamb and potatoes or prawns with rice and greens…first time I’ve ever seen prawns mentioned…there seemed a lot of rice with this one.

Late evening service was southern chicken curry or lamb salad with chickpeas and lentils.

I stuck with the lamb which I don’t mind (tastes better than looks) and had the lamb salad which I enjoyed too.

I’ve also been enjoying the Bethany Shiraz or Peter Lehman Portrait Shiraz lately.

I recently flew QF879 Gold Coast OOL to Melbourne MEL. I had chicken teriyaki with rice and it was very tasty. The FA was super lovely and kept me very happy with 3 x Lois sparkling wines and lots of sparkling water top ups. It was a points seat too but I felt I was treated very well.

And a rude CSM sounds very out of place at Qantas. A bit lazy or slow maybe but rude- what exactly makes you say this?
I may have had some "got out the wrong side of bed" CSM/FAs in QF Y and even J ... In my case the rudeness was in the way they generally spoke and acted. Responses to my questions were mono-syllabic - "No" "Yes" "Can't do that" .... the courteousness was missing is what I felt ... I mean it doesn't take much to be nice to each other, but some CSM/FAs choose not to and I think to myself may be ther are having a bad headache or a bad day ... or they just got off a depressing phone call etc ...

Trying to find a recent J menu for SYD<>HNL QF103 / QF104… anyone have one; or seen one recently? We’re off in April

Cheers,
Matt.
