Qantas Business Class meals & menus

some interesting options offered in the above flights - I like it (thanks SMJ!) - I am getting sick of a toastie being offered as a hot choice on a lunch service that's for sure

and if I never see another bottle of Shaw & Smith Sav Blanc it won't be soon enough. OMG when I see the bottle on the cart I cringe!

Thanks RichardMEL, the variety of food on our flights was pretty good and didn't taste too bad. Surprised we were offered the same white wine on four flights, at least we had some different reds!!

QF's obsession with Sauv Blanc is regrettable to the extreme. A generally weak wine that is made even more insipid through being served in the air.

What disappoints me is that at the start of this year and up till around May-ish, they had some real variety with the white wines (I am not a red drinker so can't comment) - we hod some great Rieselings, the odd Chardy and that Pino Gris with the orange label that was so-so but a change from the S&S (and any change was a good one). In fact I was starting to think/hope the cellar had been exhausted of that Sauv Blanc and we'd seen the end of it. I even got an impression some of the crews felt it had had its day (from responses when I commented on the "new" variety they had).

but since May-June it seems to be back to the S&S and it's disappointing when there's only one choice (I'm excluding any sparkling offering on principle :) )

I like shaw and smith s.b but today was Rosabrook Sauvignon Blanc Semillon for those interested

Some terrific food options there by the look of it. Especially the refreshment flight -which looks far better than several dinner flights I have been on. Variety is good but some consistency in approach would also be welcome.

Does anyone have a recent copy of a PER-SYD (or MEL/BNE) overnight supper menu? I just changed to QF568 and interested to see what potential offerings are :)

QF 861 OOL - SYD 7.20am

Mrs had the Bircher muesli which tasted like poison

I had the bacon, eggs, tomato & mushrooms , was pleasantly surprised eggs weren't even dry.

QF 860 SYD - OOL 9.10 am

Mrs had the ham & brie croissant which was nice

I had the tomato chorizo & eggs with flat bread, was a little wet but tasty with the addition of the tabasco

BNE-SYD Afternoon snack: Thai fish cakes (with a chili dressing so hot that it was clearly was sourced from the depths of hell)

Despite the fire, it was actually pretty tasty. Don't remember the red, but wasn't a fan.

The date cake dessert was dreadful. Still frozen.

Took 2 x domestic Business ADL - MEL , SYD - ADL in the last week and found the options pretty poor for the fare charged which was part of a NZ international trip. To make matters worse the Auckland - SYD leg had some of the worst meals for lunch service in J that I have ever encountered. The chorizo tomato soup as a main was barely edible and my wife's meal was a potatoe ham salad type concoction which had hard inedible potatoes and minimal ham which she couldn't eat.
Not really acceptable IMO for the level of cabin.

I found this inedible aside from the prawns

Let me guess - eating the farro was a bit like eating wet cardboard?

Nothing wrong with farro, but that was probably an ill conceived salad; at the very least, wrong proportions.
