Qantas Business Class meals & menus

Also had flown MEL-SYD-OOL with same a/c and crew and the CSM made special effort and explicity gave meal choice priority to Plats.

QF767 BNE-PER 18NOV17 332 J transcon...

After more than a dozen VA J flights on the same sector, it was time to see what I may have been missing not flying on QF.

Overall, it was a little better than I expected (but I was not expecting much). The kingfish starter was the stand out dish. Why QF still serve cold, stale, sliced bread is still a mystery. The one red wine option was also 'average'.

What is the fresh fruit option like? I've never asked for it as I always go for the Maggie Beer ice cream... I have visions of limp and old bananas but please enlighten me (or post pics). I'm trying to be healthy and if the fruit's nice I'll ask for it...

QF782 BNE-CNS 27/11 10am departure

Brunch service
Offered brie and ham toasted sandwich, fruit bowl, or plate with feta/boiled egg and something else (can't recall).

QF798 BNE-CNS 710am departure 4/12

Offered apple juice or water pre departure
Choices: kale /ricotta frittata or Bircher museli

Frittata was good. And a better meal offering compared to their lunchtime toasted sandwich on this route.

QF1756 BNE-CNS 10/12 1935 departure

New QantasLink service B717
Interesting no pre dinner drink - not sure if that's because it's QantasLink
Offered lamb curry or salad

QF434 MEL - SYD 1/12/17

Lunch service. The options were a soup (I don’t recall what exactly) or ricotta ravioli with bacon. Well, I heard bacon and that was obviously my choice.

It wasn’t...good. It wasn’t awful either. I would say it was average, but that’s a slight stretch. It was very dry.

OK so PDB had juice or water option back? anyone else have this? I hope the juice option is back - still or sparkling water change so lame in my book.. very happy if juice option is back. I know it's such a small thing.

I don't recall ever receiving a pre-dinner drink on QFLink, although the longest flight is probably BNE-CBR which probably wouldn't get it anyway.

A bit OT but can I ask @danielt25 - where do the 717s arrive / depart from in CNS? I assume they don't use the aerobridges?

Hi Kermatu, B717 from standard aerobridge in Cairns.

Thanks for the heads up about the pre dinner drinks. I suppose there's no room for all those spirits.

Thanks mate.

They certainly have spirits and the pretzels on board the 717s. Just never (to the best of my recollection) been offered a pre-meal drink.

Certainly doesn't seem the most appetizing ravioli I have seen.

Choices - cheese omelette with spinach or Bircher museli.

Muffin offered, although after I had finished.
