In the OP’s case, row 2 is taken, leaving row 1A/K and 3E. Out of those I’d be in 1K.

Was replying more generally for research purposes. But yes take your point re the footwell. Not a problem for me, I will take privacy from the aisle every time over footwell space.

Exactly, that’s why I made the decision from the outset to pay for Business Class rather than book economy and request an upgrade as my chances were likely 0.

The reverse is true on the B787 where row 1 is more private.

I agree and find the 789 a better plane to fly over the 332/3 generally.

It's wider, has a more modern design, a divider between the middle seats, enhanced and jet-lag-reducing lighting, greater humidity, bigger windows, and a quieter ride. I arrive in better shape on 788/9/1 and 350 than on a 332/3 which is old hat these days.

My seat is always 1F on the 789 and 2E on 332/3.

Yep, I get that, but I was emotionally traumatised when KL used to put full cabin lighting on for midnight service as a sleep-deprived bunny. Therefore, I find the strip lighting on A/K triggering.

For OHS reasons, I need to fly E/F overnight. ......

That image relates to entry to lounges - and track pants are not listed.

While "Head to Toe" gym ware is indicated as not permitted, that relates to attire such as like leotards, tank tops, gym shorts, etc.

Generally, most clean and neat clothing is permitted. This includes track suites ...

Either way you can do OLCI at 24h. If you are issued a mobile boarding pass, you can see if there are anything else available on the seat change via the boarding pass.

I have taken more than 50 flights this year. Vast majority of those on QF.
On every single one either myself or some other pax have been wearing track pants.
In fact this morning’s flight I was in lulu aligns.

You are over thinking this, taking pics /info out of context.
Track pants are totally fine in business class.
You won’t find a single member of this forum who has been denied boarding or into a lounge wearing them.

2. The page you're basing this on lists the dress guidelines for Domestic Lounges in capital cities only. Not inflight, not international.

Out of the option - yes I'd take 1A or 1K. Both of which are fine. Keep in mind that the toilet is not really in front of 1A. It's in the forward galley next to the coughpit (technically on 1A side).
