Qantas Call Centre Long Wait Times

My understanding (from unofficial sources) is that there is a pool of priority phone numbers that airport staff give to passengers which rotates every few weeks.

I will attempt to publish the currently active number(s) in this post:

PS they are about an hours drive apart

6 hours self drive in light traffic (and LA never has light traffic), 10+ hours on the bus.

Even the flight time between the LAX and SFO is 90mins.

Wow! I'll never be unkind to the traffic on the ED in Sydney on a friday afternoon and trying to catch a 6 pm flight.

Anyway, back on-topic. I haven't had any issues with the call centre when asking about seat choice and change of flights. Once having booked a flight and realised it was all wrong, asked the call centre to make substantial changes, which they did and without charge, even though the flights were "no-change". Then again I go through the Platinum line.

SFO is just the secondary airport for Los Angeles in one of the outer suburbs. But I know we like to pretend they are different like Perth and Freo.
I won't argue the first sentence. 🤣 But I will the second! 😡 Fremantle is definitely a different municipality to Perth, just that the border is blurred by the suburbs of each city. 🙂

You might as well include Coolgardie as a suburb of Perth! Definitely in the outer suburbs of Perth.

Anyone remember when Schiphol used to market itself as London's third airport? Would it count as one of London's co-terminals?

In terms of London branded airports, I am aware of:

London Heathrow
London Gatwick
London Luton
London Stansted
London City
London Manston
London Oxford
London Biggin Hill

You forgot Redhill where helicopter pilots are trained. It is near Gatwick.
