Still no word on my chauffeur drive from airport to home. .......

I am flying out Wednesday , chauffeur drive safely booked and confirmed.
As I have STILL not received the promised email confirmation I decided on the weekend to make a 3rd follow up call.
My previous attempts were dealt with in a courteous manner.
However this time while I wasn't told off, I felt that I was being seen as a serial complainer., and was being tolerated rather than assisted.
All I wanted was a confirmation and booking number ( for the return transfer from BNE to home) as originally promised !
I was told it was all happening behind the scenes. Why this takes more than a week I can only hazard a guess.
However I was told I would be contacted by the chauffeur drive contractor 24 hours before I land in BNE. , that will be interesting as I will be in the air and not contactable until I land in SYD ( way less than 24 hours before scheduled pick up) . Moreover I was advised that " I just have to take his word that it will work out".
This is NOT the Qantas I have grown to know and love!

This chauffer booking is also available on EK MMB (for QF codeshare !)

FWIW, I booked mine on QF MMB but the option is there to make the same booking on EK MMB.

One could only hazard a guess here that EK - having done this for many years - would have less of an issue than QF.

This chauffer booking is also available on EK MMB (for QF codeshare !)

FWIW, I booked mine on QF MMB but the option is there to make the same booking on EK MMB.
One could only hazard a guess here that EK - having done this for many years - would have less of an issue than QF.

Thanks for the heads up. I didn't think of that, particularly as I had already had success with the outward booking

I have two flights. Per-Syd-Lhr in F and the chauffeur drive works for pickup and drop off.

I gor another flight Fco-Lhr-Mel-Per in J where the chauffeur drive only works arriving back into Per. Do you know if its just a quirk in the system and if they can manually assign the pickup too?

I would think this is because you are flying out of FCO with BA / another carrier, rather than with QF or EK. Same thing for me flying out of BCN for LHR. If you were departing FCO for DXB direct you would have the service.

Thanks for the heads up. I didn't think of that, particularly as I had already had success with the outward booking

Actually, that was what I did.

Cancel the QF chauffer service and made bookings on the EK site.

Does anyone know if you can take someone with you in the car if they are on the flight but in Y? I'm traveling with my son to Glasow and being able to take him along with me will save expense and hassle.

I just posted a similar question on the EK forum hoping that there will more hands-on users of this EK service than us, the QF travellers

I assume the driver will have the details of travelling pax as you put them into the booking and it draws them from you booking I think

Hi Guys, Im looking at flights to DXB from BNE via SYD however I need to fly down to SYD the night before to catch the flight the flight will be on EK415. Am i able to book the chauffer drive from brisbane and Sydey or brisbane only? I noticed on the Emirates webpage it says to and from the airport when having a stop over would that mean I can get the transfer to BNE then to my hotel in Sydney and back to the airport on the following day? or is this just wishful thinking?

On the EK website (which you can access even with a QF booking), there will be a drop-down list of which flight(s) you can book a Chauffer service.

Let us know how it transpires for you.

You should be eligible for that BNE-SYD leg IMHO

I've been wondering about this too. Have to fly to MEL or SYD the night before, otherwise won't make it in time.

However in the T&C of chauffer drive is this one (my bolding):

5. Chauffeur Drive is also available in Adelaide, Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Canberra, Hobart, Perth, Auckland, Christchurch and Wellington to passengers travelling on Qantas operated flights that connect to or from an eligible Qantas international flight above (and travelling in First or Business on the eligible international flight). Customers do not need to be travelling in Business on the domestic or trans-Tasman flight. The Domestic or trans-Tasman flight must be in the same booking as the eligible international flight

So will they interpret 'connecting' as in same day, or <24 hours? I'm expecting the latter, else its meaningless to offer in places such as ADL, PER, HBA etc.

Also I think you will only be able to get it in either BNE OR SYD. Othwise it becomes 2 services for the same flight which would be stretching it I think.
