Qantas Delays/Cancellations

Looks like the delayed QF10 got a curfew exemption and finally took off just before 01:00 GMT!

ETA PER also at 01:00 WST. No doubt those connecting to other destinations will be delayed overnight in PER.

Saturday : The new QF21 MEL-DFW service got off to a less than auspicious start with the inaugural flight delayed 2 hours 12 minutes before B789 VH-ZNH pushed back in Melbourne at 16:12 AEDT this afternoon. The revised arrival time in Dallas is 14:55 CST Saturday, 2 hours 10 minutes late.
Fortunately the lay over time in Dallas should permit the return QF22 to be on time.

Thursday : ... However ZNJ is showing on FlightRadar24 in the layover bay ?
Saturday : ZNJ returned to service last night after a 48 hour lay over, operating the PER-LHR sector of QF9 on time, with the MEL-PER sector operated by an A332. Thus ending the delay cycle caused by its grounding. ZNB which operated the delayed services, positioned back to Melbourne this morning.

QF149 continues to be delayed. Just rolling to depart, about 1 1/2 hours late. The B737 aircraft has been sitting in SYD since 5pm.

The CHC flight is also delayed by a few hours.

QF28 from Santiago is just landing, about 4 hours delayed.

Same here, except I'm on QF12 3/12 this Friday. Hopefully no A388 troubles (also I'm flying F so any reroute or equipment change is a downgrade).
Made it through with no issues on VH-OQB - we departed about 50m late, but made up the time in-flight. Looks like today's QF11 with VH-OQB is also on time.

Oh, also the tail camera stopped working in flight, both in the IFE and also in the flight deck too. Wonder if they managed to get that fixed.

Monday : QF94 LAX-MEL (B789 VH-ZND) is currently showing a 90 minute delay for a Sunday evening departure at 22:35 PST, with just a 45 minutes delay in the Melbourne arrival at 08:45 AEDT on Tuesday morning. However it has now dropped from the plot on FlightRadar24.
Meanwhile, QF12 LAX-SYD (B789 VH-ZNB) at the gate opposite QF94, has pushed back a few minutes early for its 22:30 PST departure.

Edit : QF94 finally pushed back 103 minutes late. at this point in time there is no change to the anticipated Sydney arrival time given above.

The QF1 departed Sydney at 11:30pm (6 hours late, original departure was 5pm).
The QF1 from Singapore is currently estimated at 5:25am departure (from an 11:55pm dep). Not hopeful of that given that will give a 1.5 hour turnaround from touchdown to est departure time

Am on the latter leg of the flight and have been in SIN since the 35 arrived. Only the SIN J lounge open, and a little off topic but QF aren’t doing much to help the lounge, pretty disappointing. Though they did offer all of us on the 35 who were in J or have premium status (Presume WP or higher) access to a hotel landside which was appreciated (though not needed as we had made plans whilst in transit anyway!)

QF93 just left over 2 hours late today seems to be a regular occurrence now

Wednesday : Seems it's Melbourne bound passengers from Los Angeles turn to suffer some delays.

After Sunday's QF94 (B789 ZND) was 103 minutes late departing LAX, and 79 minutes late on arrival into Melbourne, Tuesday's replacement QF96 (B789 VH-ZND) for the dropped Monday QF94, ran to time.
However Tuesdays' QF94 (B789 VH-ZNE) was 49 minutes late departing LAX, and is now due in Melbourne at 09:12 AEDT Thursday morning, 72 minutes late. This aircraft arrived on time on Monday with that day's QF93, so presume the delay occurred while it was at LAX maintenance. The aircraft was showing there on FlightRadar24 for about 12 hours before it moved to the departure gate.

Meanwhile today's QF27 SYD-SCL (B789 ZH-ZNA) was 109 minutes late pushing back in Sydney at 14:24 AEDT, with the revised arrival in Santiago of 12:46 CLS being 111 minutes late.
ZNA's previous flight into Sydney, arrived on time at 06:36 AEDT this morning.

QF81 (SYD-SIN), the 1230 hours departure that is due to arrive at 1750 was badly late on 1 December (104 minutes tardy) and 3 December (189 minutes behind schedule arriving) while on 4 December the deficit was 38 minutes.

QF19, the now daily 1225 hours SYD-MNL however has taken the cake, with today's expected to depart at 1500 hours. In the last nine or ten days it's only been on time arriving on 5 and 6 December, but up to three hours late on other days. A shocker.

Occasionally an A332 appears to be substituted for these flights, presumably when A333s are unavailable.

That recent turnback of CGK-bound QF41 to Sydney probably didn't help timekeeping.

QF23 (1030 hours SYD-BKK, usually an A333) is expected to depart an hour late this morning.

B789 VH-ZNA should arrive on QF28 (ex SCL) in SYD at 1843 hours, 53 minutes late this evening.

A332 VH-EBV is on QF69, the 0920 hours MEL-DEL that should arrive at 1706, 36 minutes tardy.

A388 VH-OQD is on QF1 that should be on blocks at LHR at 0709 hours, 54 minutes behind schedule. It had arrived SIN last night 36 late at 2246 hours.

Not sure if there were further issues on arrival at MEL but the QF93 back to LAX has been delayed at least an hour so far.

In its fifth consecutive badly late flight, A333 VH-QPE is returning from HNL as QF104 to SYD. It took off on Wednesday 7 December at 1416 hours so SYD arrival tonight (Thursday 8) should be at about 2130 hours, 170 minutes late.

QF25 is tonight supposedly delayed an hour (to 2230) on its SDYD-HND overnight trip but if it's the same A333, hard to see it departing before 2310.

QF23 is later than suggested above with VH-QPF expected to arrive at 1727, 77 minutes late, so the 1810 hours back to SYD (QF24) will be similarly late.

A333 VH-QPA and VH-QPG have not had any flights in the past week. Maintenance?

Meanwhile today's QF27 SYD-SCL (B789 ZH-ZNA) was 109 minutes late pushing back in Sydney at 14:24 AEDT, with the revised arrival in Santiago of 12:46 CLS being 111 minutes late.
ZNA's previous flight into Sydney, arrived on time at 06:36 AEDT this morning.
Thursday : the return QF28 SCL-SYD pushed back 52 minutes late at 14:32 CLST, and is now due in Sydney at 18:25 AEDT, 35 minutes late, so made up some time at Santiago.

Not sure if there were further issues on arrival at MEL but the QF93 back to LAX has been delayed at least an hour so far.
Probably crew timings with the earlier late arrivals into Melbourne, as QF93 (B789 VH-ZNE) pushed back 61 minutes late, however Qantas Flight Status shows only a 1 minute delay in arrival at LAX.

QF149 (SYD - AKL) again badly delayed with a 2 hours late departure, arriving at 0235am in AKL. I hope customs and Menzies Aviation were still around to process this flight.

QF149's non-time schedule was pretty bad over the past 10 days. Not looking forward to be on it on Saturday night!

Monday 5 December 2022's QF149 (the 1915 hours SYD - AKL) arrived on Tuesday 6 at 0407 hours, 222 minutes late. Imagine fronting up for a 1000 hours business meeting.

Wednesday 7's arrived AKL half an hour late, while tonight's (B738 VH-XZB) is expected to pull in at 010 hours, 36 late.

The SYD-HND '25' is further delayed to a predicted 70 late departure at 2240 hours.

QF19 was as noted above amended to depart at 1530 but A333 VH-QPI despite being in Sydney all day did not become airborne until 1658 in the late afternoon, so MNL arrival should be at about 2135, 245 minutes tardy. QF20 back down is predicted to push back at 2255, 215 minutes behind schedule. SYD arrival tomorrow might be somewhere around 0930 hours.
