CNS-BNE 9:05am departure
Choices were Beef Brisket with corn cakes
This is nuts. There is no way I could have eaten that.

Really, at 9am Maybe it was left over from the night beforeCNS-BNE 9:05am departure. Interestingly we were served dinner for this morning flight. Choices were Beef Brisket with corn cakes or Vegetable Lasagna. Full bar service on the cart too. A very nice offering for a 1hr 37min flight.

Exactly the same thought I had tbh. Perhaps not terribly seriously given the rules about catering and you only have a few hours post being loaded into the carts and plane before they have to be discarded, but this has to be the weirdest timed meal I've ever heard of on QF tbh.Really, at 9am Maybe it was left over from the night before
I'd totally love it!This is nuts. There is no way I could have eaten that.
At least you get wine with your bread and butter! But it is a big FAIL by QF and just not good enough at J prices (or points).View attachment 250731
QF188 AKL-CNS. What you get on what is currently one of QFās longest flights when they donāt load any special meals. *sigh*
Indeed. Not that it matters, but it was a revenue fare. The CSM was very apologetic. She said she had been back flying for 7 weeks, and had been raising this for the last 7 weeks! At least you get wine with your bread and butter! This would be the perfect themed meal for flights to Christchurch or Hobart Dark mof_?At least you get wine with your bread
Wow- bread! And even warm. Truly amazing catering QantasQF188 AKL-CNS. What you get on what is currently one of QFās longest flights when they donāt load any special meals. *sigh*

PER-SYD on the midnight flight. A few pieces of beef in lots of gravy, but very tasty, and beans and rice perfectly cooked. (gluten free) Service was excellent throughout, although I closed my eyes for the last hour. Small bottles of water were provided regularly. Iām now on SYD-OOL. No priority boarding and no greeting on entering the plane. The two FAs didnāt even look at my boarding pass! Iām in 1F on a B737, having changed seats 24 hours ago after reading recommendation on AFF. J is full now, so points upgrades for sure.
No, I had snake beans, spinach and wholegrain rice. Very tasty, even if more gravy than beef. Your meal looks mighty familiar though!I'm convinced that's the same slop I received about 6 weeks ago...except I was in whY.

SYD-OOL lunch was served at 10:55am. Would have been the same meal as previous leg for me. Standard offering was the Cornish pastie or delicious grain and broad bean salad. After lunch in the lounge in Sydney, all I needed was a cup of tea.

I got honey and vegemite and a chocolate but no dessert
rice
Ahā¦I understand. (And today it was all meat, not lumps of fat and gristle.)I meant more in terms of the "meat" portion. Agreed, it was fairly tasty.
Yes, brown rice, which is why it had better texture and more flavour. Was that brown rice? That's a very contentious selection ...
