Qantas double SCs

Hi Myrna agree with DeKa but I think you have a valid question is it only for AUS address. Have any AFF'ers with OS address received the offer now or in pass:?: If it is address related maybe try putting an additional AUS one (if poss.).

I only have a SIN address in my profile, but I have been selected for the promotion so it's probably not location based.

Which other airline can get you direct from MEL to HNL? A quick search on Expedia only has JQ for less than $8000 (at A$3300). Ex-SYD prices go steadily higher from $3100 through the ranges up again to $9K

Just to clarify, no airline currently flies direct MEL-HNL. QF is via SYD and always has been. But as a comparison NZ via AKL for $6500 or HA via SYD for $5000 round figures, similar dates one day difference with NZ as not a daily, nor is QF.

You'd have to think the NZ business product would be a lot better than QF too, given the age of the 767s

Hi Red Roo

Does this double SC promo only applies to QFF in Australia? I tried to register for hubby and self, but we were not eligible. Could it be because we are living in the UK with a UK address? We have never been offered this promo by QF. Thanks for any clarification.

I doubt very much if Qantas will reveal how and to whom the recipients of the offer were selected. Just be happy for those who did receive it and hope that it's your turn next time :)

I thought I had registered for this a couple of weeks ago, but I wasn't sure, so I went and did it again today. I had a couple of flights last week and they're only showing the base SC, not the double for the promo. Should I be concerned?

I don't recall, but was it book and fly within the promo period, or just fly?

my bonus SCs have not posted yet either and if I am correct, I do not think anybodies bonus SCs have posted yet so do not worry or call QFF?

AFAIK, if your JASA meets the requirements then it will qualify. What makes you think that JASAs do not qualify.

I spoke with Qantas today and they said no if booked on Any Seat Award. But if it does then I am very happy

Most of the QF service centre dont understand ASAs, I can assure you they apply to a double status promo given they have in the past with no change to the terms and conditions.

The promo page at Frequent Flyer - Program - Double Status Credits defines an eligible flight as

* An eligible flight for the purposes of this promotion means any flight with a QF flight number on the ticket where Status credits are normally earned. Status credits may not be earned on some fare types and booking classes including Classic Award flights and Qantas codeshare flights (i.e. with a QF flight number on the ticket) operated by Jetstar or Jetstar Asia other than in Economy booking classes Y, B, H, K, and L (when booked as part of a oneworld fare). Qantas Segments booked in X, U, Z or P classes are eligible to earn Points and Status credits only when booked as part of a Qantas & Jetstar Any Seat Award. For details visit
qantas.com.

It was released in April, admittedly my words weren’t perfect but the question was "was it book and fly within the promo period, or just fly" and I thought my answer signified "book and fly".

Had I said "book and fly" though, the OP may have thought he could book a flight in August and it would qualify.

Hi Roo

Thank you for that clarification that has certainly confirmed previous posts that suspected it may well be the case. So thank you

Thanks, Heleigh, and others who have replied. I may add our Australian address back in our profile - it may or may not make a difference for the next DSCs promo (if there is). Hope we will have more luck next time!
