Yes agree waiting patiently is fine (look forward to the first person getting their bonus SC) just getting tired of people asking redroo to respond for question asked a number of times .:)

Dear QFF.

Thank you for the double status credit offer. I went to book 2 business class seats return Melbourne to Honolulu but unfortunately at over $10,000 per ticket to travel on a clapped-out 767 you will need to be offering something a little more enticing than double status credits to get my business. I will be flying another airline.

Regards, M

PS. That other airline will not be Jetstar.

Which other airline can get you direct from MEL to HNL? A quick search on Expedia only has JQ for less than $8000 (at A$3300). Ex-SYD prices go steadily higher from $3100 through the ranges up again to $9K

I think that MIB was hinting along the lines, that for 10k+, the 767's just aren't worth it and you'll need a bigger carrot than DSC's to get me to fly on them and JQ 'J' sucks too...
Well, that's how l read it...;)

Given up getting this offer but decided to read thru the thread to see how everyone else is going and saw Red Roo's post #418. Decided to check by going to Red Roo's link. After logging in both myself and my wife were accepted. Both of us received confirmation emails from Qantas saying that 'You have been successfully registered for the Qantas bonus Status credit promotion'. Emails also have our names and QFF nos. Have been experiencing problems with emails so it might be worthwhile if you haven't received the email to check if you can register - just in case!

And the fact that JQ wont give you DSC.

Not so much an "I’ll fly someone else" as an "I’ll fly somewhere else… and not with you" :p

You actually received a confirmation email? I never got the email but did received the message on their website.

SeatBackForward

After logging onto the registration site and applying, the web page came back with my FF details at the top of the page and 'Your registration was successful. A confirmation e-mail has been sent to' my email address. I printed this up just in case. I then received the confirmation email from Qantas. It was the same for my wife.

Thanks for that, I've since found the same site. when I first received the email and clicked on the link, it was a different page and no confirmation email. But Red Roos advice is that both these methods are acceptable.

My daughter just tried to register and recieved the following 'Unfortunately you are not eligible to register for this promotion.' Therefore I would say that both my wife and my registrations are valid and as I suggested in my earlier post go to the registration page and hopefully your registration is accepted.

This is strange - I got the email back on 4 April as per other the others.
I clicked through on my iPad and since then I made a booking via the corporate travel agent on QF.

When I logged into QFF website tonight, I got the prompt to confirm my email address and then an email confirmation came through regarding the DSC (even though I had clicked through when I received the email back in early April).

I hope my existing booking is already valid and qualifies for DSC, I don't want to cancel and rebook because I accidentally reset the registration date.
Can RedRoo or anyone else confirm?

DSC in J will mean an extra 240 SC for me and massively help in the eternal quest for WP requalification.

Cheers.

Hi All,

Just wanted to clarify some of the points discussed recently.

Targeting: As I mentioned earlier, only selected members are eligible for this promotion.

There are two ways to register:
1. Click on your email link – this method does not require you to log-in but sends a message to your QFF profile to register you (this process is just a bit easier than having to log in).
2. You can visit www.qantas.com/bonusapril then log into your profile – This method will provide you with a confirmation email but is a little more involved. It will also confirm that you have been selected for the promotion.

So, if you were not selected for the promotion, you will not be able to register and you will not be eligible to earn double Status credits.

Registration confirmation: If you are at all concerned that your registration has been accepted, visit www.qantas.com/bonusapril and register again, this will send an email to you. I can assure you though, that selected members who have clicked on their email are registered – no harm in making doubly sure!

Crediting of Status credits: The bonus Status credits should start appearing from early next week. I am confident that within minutes of this happening there will be a post about it, I wonder who will pick it up first.

Status bonus points for members who attain tier mid itinerary: If you qualify for a higher tier (Gold for instance) on one flight sector, you will start earning the Gold Status bonus points on the next flight sector you travel on. There will be a points adjustment if you are credited points at a lower tier when you should have been at a higher level. If you have any questions or wish to check on particular flights, please call the Service Centre.

I understand everyone wants to be clear on how the promotion will work so I hope this answers your questions.

Cheers,
Red Roo

Hi Red Roo

Does this double SC promo only applies to QFF in Australia? I tried to register for hubby and self, but we were not eligible. Could it be because we are living in the UK with a UK address? We have never been offered this promo by QF. Thanks for any clarification.

You are not eligible unless you were selected and received the email. Did you receive it? If not, you are not eligible.

Hi DeKa
No, we did not receive the email :( - so that was why we were not eligible.

Hi Myrna agree with DeKa but I think you have a valid question is it only for AUS address. Have any AFF'ers with OS address received the offer now or in pass:?: If it is address related maybe try putting an additional AUS one (if poss.).
